摘要: In an oil pan inner tank valve structure, a disc-shaped float valve is arranged below a valve port that provides fluid communication between the inside and outside of a bottom wall of an inner tank, and a lower cover is arranged below the float valve. In addition, a center recess is depressed at a lower surface center of the float valve, and a lateral movement restricting pin is upright from the lower cover and is constantly engaged with the center recess by recess/protrusion engagement. The lower cover restricts a vertically movable range of the float valve. In addition, the lateral movement restricting pin restricts lateral movement of the float valve so that a top portion of an upper surface bulged portion vertically constantly faces an area inside a valve seat.

摘要: A mounting structure for an oil pan is disclosed. The oil pan includes an outer pan made from a metal and an inner pan made from a synthetic resin and fixed to an underside of an engine by bolts. The mounting structure includes abutments formed on outer portions of the opening edges of outer pan and the engine so as to abut against each other, respectively, bolt engagement holes formed through the outer peripheral portions of the opening edges so that the bolts are inserted through the holes respectively, an accommodation space defined between inner peripheral portions of the opening edges of the outer pan and the engine by collapsing the inner peripheral portion of the opening edge of either outer pan or engine, and a flange protruding sideways from the inner pan and loosely fitted in the accommodation space.

摘要: An oil pan includes an oil reservoir and a pair of side walls facing the reservoir. A bulge is formed in each side wall. Each bulge defines an oil sub chamber connected to the oil reservoir. The bulges are formed integrally with the side walls by deforming the side walls outward. In other words, the bulges are not fastened to the side wall but are part of it. The oil pan is therefore easily and inexpensively formed by pressing. Further, since there is no joint between each bulge and the side wall, the oil pan has improved strength and durability.

摘要: The oil pan structure of the present invention comprises an oil pan separator 3, disposed within an oil pan 2, for separating a main chamber provided with a suction port disposed therewithin and a sub chamber provided with no suction port from each other, the oil pan separator 3 having a recess forming the main chamber, the main chamber communicating with the inside of an engine block 1, the recess being formed with communication holes 3c, 3d for communicating the main and sub chambers to each other. The sub chamber is formed so as to surround the main chamber as a whole, whereas the outer face of the bottom part of the oil pan separator 3 and the inner face of the bottom part of the oil pan 2 are not in contact with each other. Therefore, raising the temperature of engine oil within the main chamber earlier can lubricate the engine more effectively.
