Abstract:
Benzimidazole compounds of formula (I), shown below, are disclosed. The compounds are potent human glutaminyl cyclase inhibitors. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition containing one of these compounds and a pharmaceutical acceptable carrier, as well as a method of treating Alzheimer's disease or Huntington's disease by administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of such a compound.
Abstract:
Provided herein are monoclonal antibodies with a high binding affinity to isoforms of alpha 1-antitrypsin (A1AT), hybridoma cells producing the same, and their uses in diagnosing and/or detecting endometriosis from a serum sample of a subject suspicious of having endometriosis or a subject under health examination.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods for high-throughput screening of a functional antibody fragment for an immunoconjugate that targets a protein antigen. The method combines a phage-displayed synthetic antibody library and high-throughput cytotoxicity screening of non-covalently assembled immunotoxins or cytotoxic drug to identify highly functional synthetic antibody fragments for delivering toxin payloads.

Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for treatments of conditions involving CD47 upregulation using a compound of formula (I): Variables R1-R9, X, and Het are defined therein. Also disclosed are methods for increasing phagocytosis of a cell using such a compound and pharmaceutical compositions each containing the compound and an anti-cancer agent.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods for high-throughput screening of a virus-specific neutralizing antibody. According to certain embodiments of the present disclosure, the virus is an influenza virus. Also disclosed herein are the antibodies selected by the high-throughput screening method, and the uses thereof in the prophylaxis and/or treatment of viral infection.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an immunoconjugate comprising an antibody, a functional motif, and a linker connecting the functional motif to the antibody. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the antibody may recognize tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), and serves as a targeting module for delivering the functional motif connected therewith to the tumor cells thereby inhibiting tumor growth or detecting the distribution of tumor cells. Also disclosed herein are methods of treating cancers and methods of diagnosing cancers by use of the present immunoconjugate.
