Abstract: A magnetic alignment system can include a primary annular magnetic alignment component and a secondary annular magnetic alignment component. The primary alignment component can include an inner annular region having a first magnetic orientation, an outer annular region having a second magnetic orientation opposite to the first magnetic orientation, and a non-magnetized central annular region disposed between the primary inner annular region and the primary outer annular region. The secondary alignment component can have a magnetic orientation with a radial component. Abstract: In some embodiments, an electronic device includes an electronic component that is at least partially encapsulated by an adhesive doped with soft magnetic material that functions as an EMI shield for the electronic component. In various embodiments, an electronic device includes a first magnetic component separated from a second magnetic component by a gap within which is positioned an adhesive doped with soft magnetic material. The doped adhesive is positioned in a magnetic path between the first and second magnetic components and aids in magnetically coupling the first and second magnetic components and/or guides magnetic flux between the first and second magnetic components.

Abstract: Connectors having contacts that can be highly corrosion resistant, can conserve precious materials, and can be readily manufactured. Examples can provide connector contacts that are highly corrosion resistant. These contacts can be formed of a precious metal or a precious-metal alloy. The precious-metal alloy can be a high-entropy alloy. To conserve the precious materials, a contact can be formed by a stamping a structure that becomes the contact, instead of stamping the contact from a structure. The structure can be a rod. To conserve the precious materials, only contacts that convey high voltages, such as power supplies, might be formed of the precious materials.

The liquid detection module can be configured to generate and apply a time varying voltage or current to the at least one contact over a range of frequencies, measure complex impedance including phase and magnitude at the at least one contact, and determine whether liquid intrusion has occurred on the contacts based on previously measured signatures of phase and magnitude versus frequency.

Abstract: Contacts that may be highly corrosion resistant, may be readily manufactured, and may conserve precious materials. One example may provide contacts having a layer of a precious-metal alloy to improve corrosion resistance. The precious-metal-alloy layer may be plated with a hard, durable, wear and corrosion resistant plating stack for further corrosion resistance and wear improvement. The resources consumed by a contact may be reduced by forming a bulk or substrate region of the contact using a more readily available material, such as copper or a material that is primarily copper based.
