Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for provisioning credentials on an electronic device are provided. In one example embodiment, a secure platform system may be in communication with an electronic device and a financial institution subsystem. The secure platform system may be configured to, inter alia, detect a selection of a particular commerce credential, access communication mechanism data indicative of at least one communication mechanism of the device, where the at least one mechanism is configured to receive a communication on the device, transmit information to the financial subsystem, where the information includes the mechanism data and the selection of the particular commerce credential, and instruct the financial subsystem to provision the particular commerce credential in a disabled state on the device and communicate credential enablement data to the device using a particular communication mechanism of the at least one communication mechanism indicated by the communication mechanism data.

In some examples, the device receives user input initiating a process for moving the account from a first device to a second device. Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can be configured to automatically turn off notifications when generating a notification would cause a disturbance or be unwanted by a user. The device can be configured with quiet hours during which notifications that would otherwise be generated by the computing device can be suppressed. In some implementations, quiet hours can be configured as a time period with a start time and an end time. In some implementations, quiet hours can be derived from application data. For example, calendar data, alarm clock data, map data, etc. can be used to determine when quiet hours should be enforced. In some implementations, the device can be configured with exceptions to quiet hour notification suppression. In some implementations, the user can identify contacts to which the quiet hours notification suppression should not be applied.

Abstract: A system for provisioning credentials onto an electronic device is provided. The system may include a payment network subsystem, a service provider subsystem, a primary user device, and a secondary user device. The user may select a particular payment card to provision onto the secondary user device by providing an input at the primary user device. A broker module running on the service provider subsystem may then transfer a disabled pass to the secondary user device. Concurrently, the payment network subsystem may direct a trusted service manager module on the service provider subsystem to write credential information onto a secure element within the secondary user device. Once the secure element has been updated, the broker module may provide an activated pass to the secondary user device so that the secondary user device can be used to perform NFC-based financial transactions at a merchant terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to making payments with a mobile device. In one example process, the mobile device receives and stores information for one or more payment accounts on the mobile device. The mobile device is used to make payments using the payment accounts. In some examples, authorization to proceed with a payment is performed before each purchase made by the user. The authorization process can include receiving a verification of the user, such as a fingerprint scan or passcode. In some examples, a payment account is selected from among available payment accounts. In some examples, an indication is displayed of a digital item associated with a purchased item. In some examples, a payment transaction is initiated with participants of an ongoing communication. In some examples, an application of a retailer is invoked based on the availability of the application. In some examples, a purchase recommendation is provided.

Abstract: Methods and arrangements allow merchants to set up advertising campaigns that distribute special offers or discounts and allows users to forward the special offers to friends. The forwarding of the offers could expose merchants to offering more discounts than budgeted and this is a concern. The invention addresses this by having the forwarded offer check with the merchant server or advertising server to see if there is enough budget in the campaign left to allow the issuance of the forwarded offer, and if so, the server issues a new identifier. If not, the user receiving the forwarded offer receives a message saying the campaign has expired. Since every offer has its own identifier, the forwarding of the offers can be tracked, as well as the redemption, which allows for social metric collection.

Abstract: If a user loses an electronic device that has the capability to conduct financial transactions, the user may report that the electronic device is lost using a lost-device software application to a management electronic device associated with a provider of the electronic device. In response to receiving this information, a disabling command is sent to a payment network associated with the financial account of the user to temporarily disable use of the electronic device to conduct the financial transactions. In particular, the electronic device may include a secure element that stores a payment applet for a financial account, and the disabling command may disable a mapping from a virtual identifier for the financial account to a financial primary account number. Subsequently, if the user finds the electronic device, the user may re-enable the capability (and, thus, the mapping) by providing authentication information to the electronic device.

Abstract: To facilitate conducting a financial transaction via wireless communication between an electronic device and another electronic device, the electronic device determines a unique transaction identifier for the financial transaction based on financial-account information communicated to the other electronic device. The financial-account information specifies a financial account that is used to pay for the financial transaction. Moreover, the unique transaction identifier may be capable of being independently computed by one or more other entities associated with the financial transaction (such as a counterparty in the financial transaction or a payment network that processes payment for the financial transaction) based on the financial-account information communicated by the portable electronic device. The electronic device may also associate receipt information, which is subsequently received from a third party (such as the payment network), with the financial transaction by comparing the determined unique transaction identifier to the computed unique transaction identifier.
