摘要: The invention relates to a method for determining at least one applicable path (32) for the movement of an object, especially of a surgical and/or diagnostical device, in human tissue (14) or animal tissue by means of a data set of intensity data obtained by a 3D imaging technique, the applicable path (32) of movement connecting a starting position (28) of the device with a defined target location (30). According to the invention the method comprises the steps: defining the target location (30) of a reference point of the device and choosing at least one possible starting position of the reference point of the device; —determining a candidate path of movement (18, 20, 22) between the corresponding possible starting position (24,26, 28) and the defined target location (30); and—evaluating the candidate path of movement (18, 20, 22) as being an applicable path (32) depending on information about local intensity extrema and/or intensity variation resulting from the intensity data along the candidate path of movement (18, 20, 22). The invention further relates to a corresponding computer-readable medium, a corresponding computer program product, and a corresponding computerized system.

摘要: A method for determining an applicable path of movement of an object in human or animal tissue is based on intensity data obtained by a 3D imaging technique. The applicable path of movement connects a starling position of the object with a defined target location. The method includes defining the target location of a reference point of the object and choosing at least one possible starting position of the reference point of the object. Further, the method includes determining a candidate path of movement between the corresponding possible starling position and the defined target location. Next, the candidate path of movement is evaluated for being an applicable path. The candidate path is evaluated based on information about local intensity extrema and/or intensity variation resulting from the intensity data along the candidate path of movement.

摘要: A system and method for assuring a high resolution image of an object, such as the face of a person, passing through a targeted space are provided. Both stationary and active or pan-tilt-zoom cameras are utilized. The at least one stationary camera acts as a trigger point such that when a person passes through a predefined targeted area of the at least one stationary camera, the system is triggered for object imaging and tracking. Upon the occurrence of a triggering event in the system, the system predicts the motion and position of the person. Based on this predicted position of the person, an active camera that is capable of obtaining an image of the predicted position is selected and may be controlled to focus its image capture area on the predicted position of the person. After the active camera control and image capture processes, the system evaluates the quality of the captured face images and reports the result to the security agents and interacts with the user.

摘要: The invention relates to a system (100) for retrieving an image from the storage of images, the system comprising: a retrieval unit (110) for retrieving an image from the storage of images, on the basis of similarity of images from the storage of images o a query image, wherein the similarity is defined by means of a similarity function; a relevance unit (120) for computing images t relevance of a first portion of the retrieved image to a respective first portion of the query image and of a second portion of the retrieved image to a respective second portion of the query image; and a visualization unit (130) for visualizing the relevance of the first and second portion of the retrieved image to the respective first and second portion of the query image. The relevance of the first and second portion of the retrieved image to the respective first and second portion of the query image may be computed using a first and second relevance function. The computed values of the relevance may be visualized, e.g. using a color coding and coloring the first and second portion of each retrieved image. The colored portions are easy to see and analyze. Thus, the system of the invention facilitates visualizing and comparing retrieved images with respect to each other as well as with the query image.

摘要: The invention relates to a system (100) for retrieving an image from image storage means, the system comprising: a retrieval unit (110) for retrieving a plurality of images from image storage means, on the basis of similarity between said images from image storage means and a query image, wherein the similarity is defined by a similarity function, and comprising a relevance unit (120) for computing values of relevance of images of the retrieved plurality of images on the basis of a value of a first attribute relating to the query image and values of a second attribute relating to the images of the retrieved plurality of images, and an update unit (130) for updating the similarity function on the basis of the computed values of relevance, and wherein the retrieval unit (110) is further adapted for retrieving the image from image storage means on the basis of the updated similarity function. The values of the first and second attributes are used by the retrieval unit to compute relevance values (e.g. ranks) of the plurality of images retrieved from image storage means. The user is thus relieved of the task of comparing the retrieved images and evaluating their relevance according to a user-defined criterion. Advantageously, the relevance values computed by the system are less dependent on, or independent of, user subjectivity. Optionally, the system may further comprise a prediction unit (140) for predicting the value of an attribute relating to the query image, on the basis of the image retrieved by the retrieval unit (110) using the similarity function updated by the update unit (130)

摘要: Temporal data is analyzed and visualized with medical images. Visualizing temporal data includes providing a set of temporal data, detecting the number of distinct regions (40, 41) in the temporal data, based on the temporal behavior of the data, identifying and assigning a color scheme to each region and visualizing each region in accordance with the assigned color scheme. In embodiments, the number of distinct regions is detected based on the use of a clustering algorithm.

摘要: The invention relates to a method, a system (101) and a computer program product to identify a particular data object of a data type in a database (104) that comprises data objects of the data type. The system (101) comprises a query composition unit (102) to compose a search query to identify a candidate data object being a candidate for the particular data object. A search unit (103) identifies the candidate data object in the database (104) based on the search query. A presentation unit (105) presents the candidate data object to the user. A feedback receiving unit (106) receives user feedback on the relevance or irrelevance of a segment of the candidate data object. The search unit (103) further identifies an improved candidate data object in response to the received user feedback. The improved candidate data object is an improved candidate for the particular data object.
