    Abstract: Technologies directed to multi-tier coordinated dynamic frequency selection (DFS) service in a multi-tier wireless network are described. One method includes receiving, by a first wireless device, first data associated with a first set of DFS channels. The first wireless device performs a CAC on each DFS channel of the first set of DFS channels in a specified order. The first wireless device identifies a second set of DFS channels in which no radar event is found during the respective CAC and generates second data associated with the second set of DFS channels. The first wireless device receives a first request for the second data from a second wireless device. The first wireless device determines a receive signal strength indicator (RSSI) value associated with the first request and sends a first response, including the second data and the RSSI value, to the second wireless device

    Abstract: Technologies directed to a wireless device with RF port impedance detection using concurrent radios are described. One wireless device includes an impedance detection circuit with a bi-directional RF coupler and switching circuitry. A processing device controls the switching circuitry to i) couple the bi-directional RF coupler between a first radio and a first RF port and a second radio and a second RF port. The processing device causes a first radio to send a first signal and a second radio to measure a first receive signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a first reflected signal. The processing device determines that the first RSSI value exceeds a threshold, the threshold representing an impedance mismatch condition at or beyond the first RF port. The processing device sends a message indicative of the impedance mismatch condition to a second device.

    Abstract: Technologies directed to sectorized analog beam searching are described. One method includes a first wireless device receiving a first destination address of a second wireless device, a first angle value corresponding to a first direction, and a second angle value corresponding to a second direction. The first wireless device generates a first signal beam transmitted in the first direction and spanning a first geographic region and receives an RSSI value corresponding to the first signal beam. The first wireless generates a second signal beam transmitted in the second direction and spanning a second geographic region and receives a second RSSI value corresponding to the second signal beam. The first wireless device determines that the first RSSI value is greater than the second RSSI value. The first wireless device determines, using a third signal beam a third angle value corresponding to a third direction located within the first geographic region.

    Abstract: Network hardware devices are organized in a wireless mesh network (WMN) including multiple home access node (HAN) relay devices located in a geographic area and separated from one another by a distance. To avoid an obstruction preventing terrestrial line-of-sight (LOS) communications, an aerial reflector is deployed for terrestrial non-line-of-sight (NLOS) communications between first and second HAN relay devices. The aerial reflector device is positioned at an aerial location above a first terrestrial location of the first HAN relay device and a second terrestrial location of the second HAN relay device. The aerial reflector device includes a reflective surface that is positioned and oriented to provide terrestrial NLOS communications between a radio of the first HAN relay device and a radio of the second HAN relay device.

    Abstract: Technologies directed to a control circuit using dynamic signal compression are described. A control circuit includes a front-end module (FEM) coupled to an RF cable, the FEM having a low-noise amplifier (LNA). The control circuit further includes an automatic gain control (AGC) circuitry coupled to the FEM. The AGC circuitry receives a first radio frequency (RF) signal having a first portion of one or more symbols and a second portion of one or more symbols. The AGC circuitry further amplifies the first portion to generate a first portion of an output signal. The AGC circuitry further compresses the second portion to obtain a second portion of the output signal. The AGC circuitry further sends a control signal to cause the FEM to change a gain state value of the LNA from a first value to a second value based on a comparison between a voltage of the output signal and a reference voltage.

    Abstract: Technologies directed to prioritized channel coordination in a multi-tier wireless network are described. One method includes identifying a first group of wireless devices located in a first geographical area using physical proximity information. The method includes, for a first wireless device having a highest priority among the wireless device in the first geographical area, determining a penalty value for each channel of a plurality of available channels and selecting a first channel having a lowest penalty value. The method includes, for a second wireless device having a second-highest priority, determining a penalty value for each of the remaining channels in the plurality of available channels and selecting a second channel, from the remaining channels, having a lowest penalty value. The method includes sending to the first wireless device information about the first channel and sending to the second wireless device information about the second channel.
