摘要:
The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp of the ceramic metal halide type of the Philips MasterColor® series having power ranges of about 150 W to about 1000 W. Such lamps are provided with a discharge vessel which encloses a discharge space. The discharge vessel has a ceramic wall and is closed by a ceramic plug. An electrode which is located inside the discharge space is connected to an electric conductor by way of a leadthrough element. The leadthrough element projects through the ceramic plug with a close fit and is connected thereto in a gas-tight manner by way of a sealing ceramic. The leadthrough element has a first part which is formed by a cermet at the area of the gas-tight connection. In addition, the lamps display one or more and most preferably all of the following properties: a CCT (correlated color temperature) of about 3800 to about 4500K, a CRI (color rendering index) of about 70 to about 95, a MPCD (mean perceptible color difference) of about ±10, and a luminous efficacy up to about 85-95 lumens/watt, a lumen maintenance of >80%, color temperature shift

The invention relates to improvements in high-pressure discharge lamps of the ceramic metal halide type of the Philips MasterColor series having a metal coil wrapped around the discharge vessel and/or at least a portion of the electrode feed through means, and having power ranges of about 150W to about 1000W, wherein the lamp has a metal coil wound around the discharge vessel and/or at least a portion of the electrode feed through means in a first position and in which metal coil the coil position of at least one coil portion, preferably multiple coil portions, and most preferably substantially all of the coil portions of the metal coil are stabilized to be substantially non-relaxed from the first position after exposure to elevated temperature conditions present during operation of the lamp. The metal coil functions as both an ignition aid and for containment in said lamp.

A high-pressure discharge lamp of the ceramic metal halide type having power ranges of about 150 W to about 1000 W. Such lamps have outer bulb enclosing a cylindrical ceramic discharge vessel enclosing a discharge space. The discharge vessel includes an ionizable material containing a metal halide; a first and second discharge electrode feedthrough; and a first and second current conductor connected to the first and second discharge electrode feedthrough, respectively. A frame wire structure includes at least one frame wire, connected to the current conductors, through a conductor. The frame wire structure extends between the ceramic discharge vessel and the glass bulb, and is effective to reduce arc bending, regardless of the orientation of the lamp during operation in a fixture and regardless of the relative position of the frame wire to the arc tube.

A high pressure discharge lamp includes a pair of arc tubes connected electrically in parallel within an outer envelope, which includes a lamp stem having a pair of stem conductors entering the lamp envelope in a common plane. The arc tubes include conductive feed-throughs at each end thereof. A lamp frame supports the arc tubes in a plane parallel with the stem conductors and is welded directly to each of the feed-throughs with all welds in a common plane with the welds between the frame and the stem conductors. The frame includes a resiliently deformable transverse member which allows for independent changes in length of the arc tubes during lamp operation due to thermal expansion/contraction. The frame is free of slip fit connections with the feed-throughs and free of additional conductive straps connected to the feed-throughs.

A medium wattage (>175 W to 400 W) metal halide electric lamp is provided having a strapless mount structure for the light source capsule while reliably passing standard drop tests. The strapless mount structure reduces photoelectron emission and thus retards sodium diffusion through the light source capsule. Elimination of electrically conductive metal straps conventionally used to mount the light source is the main contributor to the improved
