Abstract: In one implementation, a method of performing late-stage shift is performed at a device including a display, one or more processors, and non-transitory memory. The method includes generating, based on a first predicted pose of the device for a display time period, a first image. The method includes generating a mask indicating a first region of the first image and a second region of the first image. The method includes generating a second image by shifting, based on a second predicted pose of the device for the display time period, the first region of the first image without shifting the second region of the first image. The method includes displaying, on the display at the display time period, the second image.

Abstract: An electronic device may have one or more displays that produce images for a user. The display may include an array of light-emitting diodes. Each light-emitting diode in the array of light-emitting diodes may include a plurality of vias. The vias may be arranged in an array of rows and columns. The light-emitting diodes in the array may share a common cathode. The common cathode may include a conductive layer formed from a reflective material. The conductive layer may be formed in a grid that defines a plurality of openings for the light-emitting diodes or may be formed around the periphery of the array. The array may include light-emitting diodes of two different colors in a head-to-tail arrangement, connected in series, or that share a common cathode. The array may include light-emitting diodes of three different colors that are vertically stacked.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for reducing or eliminating image artifacts due to motion are provided. An electronic display may include an electronic display panel having a display pixel, an optical combiner that directs light from the display pixel toward a viewing area, and display driver circuitry. The display driver circuitry may receive image data that defines a total pulse width for one image frame. The display driver circuitry may cause the display pixel to emit light in in multiple pulses totaling to the total pulse width for the display pixel for one image frame.
