Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless communications circuitry that has first and second digital predistortion circuits. The first predistortion circuit receives a first signal at a first frequency while the second predistortion circuit receives a second signal at a second frequency. The first circuit may perform predistortion operations on the first signal using non-unity predistortion coefficients to generate a predistorted signal. The second circuit may apply unity predistortion coefficients to the second signal to generate an undistorted signal. An adder may combine the predistorted and undistorted signals to generate a combined signal that is amplified by amplifier circuitry. An antenna may transmit the amplified signal. By over-distorting the first signal with the first predistortion circuit while the second predistortion circuit does not distort the second signal, the circuitry may mitigate non-linearity in the amplifier while allowing for carrier aggregation operations to be performed with minimal power consumption.

Moreover, the method includes transmitting the second set of signals via the second set of antennas using a second power based on the positions of the antennas, the exposure conditions of the signals on the user, and/or priorities of the signals.

Abstract: An electronic device receives an indication of a number of physical resource blocks and subcarrier spacing of at least a portion of a transmission channel and determines a dynamic transmission bandwidth, or receives an indication of a modulation coding scheme of the transmission channel and determines a modulation order. The electronic device transmits, using a transmitter, a signal over at least the portion of the transmission channel based on the dynamic transmission bandwidth being less than or equal to a threshold bandwidth, or the modulation order not corresponding to an additional power backoff, using a first power based on a maximum output power capacity of the electronic device and a maximum power reduction. Otherwise, the electronic device transmits the signal over at least the portion of the transmission channel at a second power based on the maximum output power capacity, the maximum power reduction and the additional power backoff.

Abstract: A wireless communication device (UE) may conduct wireless communications using one or more antennas according to multiple radio access technologies (RAT) associated with corresponding operating frequency bands. The UE may periodically identify one or more applications running on the UE, the respective RATs that support the (running) applications, and which of the corresponding frequency bands are used by the (running) applications. The UE may determine the tuner device settings for tuning the one or more antenna(s) based on the (running) applications or the type and/or priority of the (running) applications, which RATs support the running applications, which of the corresponding frequency bands are used by the (running) applications, and operating conditions associated with the frequency bands used by the (running) applications.
