摘要： A wireless speaker device configured for use with a wireless A/V recording and communication device, such as a doorbell. The wireless speaker device, which includes a speaker, may connect to the user's local area network (LAN), such as a Wi-Fi network. The LAN is connected to a wide area network (WAN), such as the Internet and/or a public switched telephone network (PSTN). When the wireless A/V recording and communication device detects a visitor, it sends a signal, via the LAN, to at least one device in the WAN, such as a server and/or a service. In response, the at least one device in the WAN sends a signal, via the LAN, to the wireless speaker device. The signal to the wireless speaker device includes a command for the wireless speaker device to emit a tone through its speaker. The wireless speaker device then emits a tone through its speaker to alert the user that a visitor is at the wireless A/V recording and communication device. The wireless speaker device may further include a wireless repeater configured to receive a wireless signal from the one or more LAN devices and rebroadcast the wireless signal. The wireless speaker device may further include a wireless communication module configured to transmit data wirelessly to and/or receive data wirelessly from another wireless device, independently of the LAN, via a direct connection to the another wireless device.

摘要： Some aspects of the present embodiments provide a method for transferring A/V recording and communication devices to other parties for installation at structures such as homes. The distributed and/or installed devices may be in a pre-activation mode with limited functionality. For example, a video doorbell device in pre-activation mode may have similar functionalities as a traditional doorbell, such as sounding a signaling device (e.g., a bell or buzzer), when a front button of the doorbell is pressed. The camera and/or the recording capabilities of the video doorbell, however, may be disabled in the pre-activation mode. The homeowner (or renter or other occupant) may subsequently desire to activate the A/V recording and communication device. During the activation process, the homeowner may be required to submit a payment for the A/V recording and communication device.

摘要： An illuminated sign for providing a warning that an area adjacent the illuminated sign is within a field of view of an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device. The illuminated sign may include a front panel having translucent portions and opaque portions, and an illumination source located behind the front panel. The illumination source illuminates the front panel such that the opaque portions block transmission through the front panel of at least a portion of the light from the illumination source to provide the warning that the area adjacent the illuminated sign is within the field of view of the A/V recording and communication device.

In one embodiment, a method for communicating in a network may include receiving, from a first client device, a share signal including image data captured by a camera of a first audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device; transmitting, to a second A/V recording and communication device, a secondary device state request signal; receiving, from the second A/V recording and communication device a secondary device update signal that includes a status of the at least one secondary device in network communication with the second A/V recording and communication device; and generating and transmitting an alert to a second client device associated with the second A/V recording and communication device, wherein the alert includes the image data and the status of the at least one secondary device.
