Abstract:
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for determining intermodulation distortion in a system such as, but not limited to, a communication system. In an embodiment, intermodulation distortion is determined by injecting a signal into a frequency band which interacts with a second signal, searching a second frequency band for a product signal formed from the first and second signals, applying a cyclostationarity detection technique to the product signal and identifying the product signal as an intermodulation distortion signal.

Abstract:
A system and method for determining the location of a target mobile device in a communications network. A set of mobile devices in proximity to the target mobile device may be determined (210) as a function of a common parameter of information observed by mobile devices in the set. Measurement data may be shared (220) for the set of mobile devices and the target mobile device, and a location of the target mobile device (230) determined as a function of the shared measurement data. This sharing of measurement data may occur amongst the set of mobile devices and the target mobile device or may also occur at a communication network entity.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for identifying a signal that is a product of two or more other signals. In an embodiment, intermodulation distortion is determined by searching a frequency band for an RF product signal and identifying the RF product signal as an intermodulation distortion signal using a cyclostationarity detection technique.
Abstract:
This disclosure pertains to systems and methods that may be used to increase the information content of a mobile device so as to locate, track, or determine the behavior of a mobile device and/or the user of the mobile device. Separate pieces of information (information snippets) may be aggregated over time to form information linkages. The snippets and linkages may be associated with a time stamp and/or a time frame. The snippets and linkages may be associated with a probability value which may be updated as more information is acquired. The snippets and linkages may be aggregated with, for example, a building floor plan to provide a more complete informational description of the mobile device and/or the behavior of the user of the mobile device (information map).

Abstract:
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for identifying a signal that is a product of two or more other signals. In an embodiment, the presence of intermodulation distortion in a communication system is determined by comparing a cyclic autocorrelation function (“CAF”) of a complex envelop of signal content in a frequency bin, comparing the determined CAF with the CAF for a known signal type, and comparing a frequency of the signal content with the frequency of an RF channel in the communication system.
