Abstract: In an electric motor, a magnetic bearing generates an electromagnetic force between multiple permanent magnets and a coil and rotatably supports an other side of a rotation shaft in an axis line direction. The rotation shaft is configured to be capable of being inclined with a rotation center line using a bearing side of the rotation shaft as a fulcrum. An electronic control device controls a current that flows to the coil such that an axis line of the rotation shaft approaches the rotation center line due to a supporting force which is the electromagnetic force between the multiple permanent magnets and the coil. Accordingly, the rotation shaft is rotatably supported to be freely rotatable by a magnetic bearing and the bearing.

Abstract: A fluid discharge device includes a base portion defining a fluid flow passage and having an opening at a downstream end of the fluid flow passage, and a grill portion disposed to adjust a flow direction of the fluid blown from the opening. The grill portion includes a flow passage forming body defining a main flow passage and an auxiliary flow passage. In the flow passage forming body, the auxiliary flow passage surrounds the main flow passage and the auxiliary flow discharged from the auxiliary flow passage flows outside of the main flow discharged from the main flow passage. The flow passage forming body is configured such that a direction of the auxiliary flow discharged from the auxiliary flow passage corresponds to the direction of the main flow discharged from the main flow passage, when the flow direction of the fluid blown out of the opening is adjusted.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes a plurality of blades, a shroud, a main plate and a tubular portion. An air flow passage is formed between each adjacent two of the blades. When the blades are rotated, air, which is suctioned from one axial side into a suction port is conducted through the air flow passage and is radially outwardly discharged. The shroud has a cover region, which faces another axial side and is shaped in a convex arcuate form. An axial end part of the tubular portion, which faces the one axial side, has an end surface. The end surface and a second virtual line are parallel to each other, or a distance, which is measured between the end surface and the second virtual line in the axial direction, is progressively increased from a radially inner part to a radially outer part of the end surface.

Abstract: A vehicle air conditioner includes a casing, a heater core that heats an air flow by heat exchange between the air flow and a heat medium, an electric heater that heats an air flow by an electric power, and a determiner that determines whether a temperature of the heat medium is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature. When the determiner determines that the temperature of the heat medium is equal to or lower than the predetermined temperature, an air flow introduced into a casing is heated by the electric heater and flows toward the vehicle interior without passing through the heater core.

The first introduction portion is connected to a bottom surface portion of the air-conditioning case on the air-flow downstream side of the cooling portion in the air-conditioning case.

Abstract: An air discharge device includes a duct that defines a flow passage through which a working air flow to be discharged passes, and a hole forming member defining an air discharge hole as an outlet of the working air flow. The hole forming member has a vortex generation structure configured to generate an auxiliary vortex having a vortex characteristic including a vortex rotation direction and a vortex axis direction. The vortex characteristic of the auxiliary vortex is different from that of a lateral vortex generated by the working air flow at a downstream side of the air discharge hole. The vortex generation structure is configured in the hole forming member so that the auxiliary vortex collides with the lateral vortex in a state where at least one of the vortex rotation direction and the vortex axial direction of the vortex characteristic is different from that of the lateral vortex.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower includes a case, an electric motor supported by the case at a motor support position, and a fan driven by the electric motor. The fan includes: a boss installed to an output shaft; a main plate extending outward from the boss in a radial direction; a plurality of blades extending from the main plate toward one side in an axial direction; and a side plate joined to an end portion of each of the plurality of blades, which faces the one side in the axial direction. A weight of the main plate is larger than a weight of the side plate. The main plate and the side plate are both inclined toward another side opposite to the one side in the axial direction as the main plate and the side plate approach an outer side in the radial direction.
