    Abstract: A pressure sensor includes a sensor chip and a resin portion. The sensor chip extends in a lengthwise direction and includes a membrane whose length in a thickness direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is smaller than another part, and a piezoelectric element provided in the membrane. The sensor chip includes a fixed end that is covered with and fixed to the resin portion, and a free end opposite from the fixed end in the lengthwise direction. The free end is spaced away from the resin portion in the lengthwise direction, and the membrane is located in the free end. A shortest separation distance between the membrane and a part of the resin portion covering the sensor chip is equal to or larger than a length of the sensor chip along a crosswise direction of the sensor chip perpendicular to both the lengthwise direction and the thickness direction.

    Abstract: A control valve includes: a port, which is shaped in a tubular form; a valve element; and a metal seal, which contacts the valve element. A gap is formed between a tubular portion of the metal seal and the port in a perpendicular direction that is perpendicular to an axial direction of a flow passage of the port. Thereby, when the valve element is displaced in the perpendicular direction, the valve element urges the metal seal to displace the metal seal in the perpendicular direction in the state where the metal seal contacts the valve element.

    Abstract: A second case includes a projection that projects on an opposite side of a threaded portion of the second case, which is opposite from a first case, while the projection is placed in a passage when the second case is installed to an installation-subject member. An opening is formed in a visible area of an outer peripheral surface of the projection, which is visible at a time of viewing the outer peripheral surface in a flow direction of the measurement-subject medium upon installation of the second case to the installation-subject member, and the projection includes a flow direction changing portion that changes a flow direction of the measurement-subject medium, which is introduced from the passage into an introducing hole through the opening, from a direction along the passage to a direction toward the sensor unit.
