    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: a heat exchange core portion; and a tank portion connected to the heat exchange core portion. The heat exchange core portion has a connection plate that surrounds a part of the tank portion from an outer peripheral side. The connection plate has slit-shaped openings arranged along an edge of the connection plate in a first direction. A part of the connection plate between each of the openings and the edge is deformable into a concave shape toward the tank portion. A part of the openings has a widened portion at both ends in the first direction. A width dimension of the widened portion in a second direction from the opening to the edge is larger than that of the other portion of the opening.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a plurality of cooling plates, a duct plate disposed around the cooling plates and a spacer plate fixed to both the duct plate and the cooling plate to prevent supercharged air from flowing into a gap between the duct plate and the cooling plate. The cooling plate includes cup portions allowing cooling water flow paths of the corresponding two cooling plates to be in communication with each other when the cooling plate is fixed to the adjacent cooling plate. The cooling water flow path formed in the cooling plate includes flow path portions and formed extending in a direction perpendicular to a flow direction of supercharged air from the corresponding cup portions. The cup portions are each formed in a tubular shape having a central axis at a position offset along the flow direction of the supercharged air from a center of the corresponding one of the flow path portions in a flow path width direction.

    Abstract: In an intake air cooling device, a heat-exchanging core portion in an intercooler has an intake-air downstream-side core portion and an intake-air upstream-side core portion located upstream of the intake-air downstream-side core portion in a flow of intake air. The intake-air downstream-side core portion is located upstream of the intake-air upstream-side core portion in a flow of a cooling fluid. The intercooler has a U-turn portion at which a flow direction of the cooling fluid turns around between the intake-air downstream-side core portion and the intake-air upstream-side core portion. A flow rate control device intermittently supplies the intercooler with a predetermined volume of the cooling fluid at a time. The predetermined volume is a value determined on basis of a volumetric capacity of a cooling fluid channel in the intake-air downstream-side core portion.

    Abstract: An intercooler that cools intake air supercharged into an engine by a supercharger by exchanging heat with a cooling medium includes a heat exchange portion in which heat is exchanged between the cooling medium flowing inside a channel tube and the supercharged intake air flowing outside the channel tube. The cooling medium includes a first cooling medium and a second cooling medium hotter than the first cooling medium. The channel tube includes a first cooling medium channel where the first cooling medium flows and a second cooling medium channel where the second cooling medium flows. The channel tube includes a first U-turn portion forcing a flow of the first cooling medium flowing the first cooling medium channel to make a U-turn, and a second U-turn portion forcing a flow of the second cooling medium flowing the second cooling medium channel to make a U-turn.

    Abstract: Provided is an aluminum alloy clad material including an aluminum alloy core material, an intermediate layer material that is clad on one surface of the core material, and a first brazing filler metal that is clad on a surface of the intermediate layer material, the surface not being on the core material side, wherein the core material, the intermediate layer material, and the first brazing filler metal each include an aluminum alloy having a predetermined composition, the existence density of Al—Mn based intermetallic compounds having a circle-equivalent diameter between 0.1 and 1.0 μm inclusive in the intermediate layer material before brazing heating is at least 1.0×105 pieces/mm2, and the existence density of Al—Mn based intermetallic compounds having a circle-equivalent diameter between 0.1 and 1.0 μm inclusive in the intermediate layer material after brazing heating is at least 1.0×104 pieces/mm2. Further provided is a method for producing the aluminum alloy clad material.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a duct, a core portion, and a caulking plate. The duct has an inlet and an outlet. The core portion is housed in the duct in a state where cooling plates and cooling fins are stacked in a stacking direction. The caulking plate has a frame shape corresponding to an opening shape of the inlet and the outlet and brazed to the inlet and the outlet. The caulking plate is interposed between the duct and a tank to fix the tank. A first joint between the duct and the core portion and a second joint between the duct and the caulking plate are distanced from each other in the stacking direction by a predetermined distance. The duct has a rib between the first joint and the second joint or at the second joint.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a duct, a stacked core, and a coupling plate. The duct includes a first plate that is disposed to face at least one of end faces of the stacked core in a core width direction, and a second plate that is disposed to face at least one of the end faces of the stacked core in a tube stacking direction. The second plate includes a second-plate end plate portion disposed to face the end face of the stacked core in the core width direction and brazed to a wall surface of the first plate, a second-plate center plate portion that is disposed to face the end face of the stacked core in the tube stacking direction, and a flange portion that extends in the tube stacking direction and is brazed to a bottom wall surface of a groove portion of the coupling plate.
