Abstract:
An inspection device includes an output unit, a storage unit, and an inspection unit. The output unit outputs a control signal for controlling a water supply valve to control supply and no supply of irrigation water from a water supply pipe in an open farm field, between an open state and a closed state. The storage unit stores water pressures of irrigation water as detected in a period from a state where the water supply valve becomes in the open state and irrigation water is supplied from the water supply pipe until an expected time elapses after the water supply valve becomes in the closed state and the water supply pipe is expected to be filled with irrigation water. The inspection unit calculates a time constant of water pressure based on the water pressures and inspects the water supply pipe based on the time constant.
Abstract:
A strain detecting device includes a sensor portion and an elastic deformation member covering the sensor portion. The elastic deformation member generates heat when it is compressed and absorbs heat when it is expanded. The sensor portion includes a first and a second heat flux sensors, each of which has a first sensor surface and a second sensor surface formed on sides opposite to each other. Each of the sensors outputs a sensor signal having a positive polarity when the heat flux passes through the sensor in a direction from the first sensor surface to the second sensor surface or outputs a sensor signal having a negative polarity when the heat flux passes through the sensor in the reversed direction. A heat absorbing member is interposed between the first and the second heat flux sensors. The first sensor surfaces of the respective heat flux sensors are opposed to each other across the heat absorbing member. The sensor portion generates the sensor signal depending on the heat flux generated by deformation of the elastic deformation member.

An operating-status diagnostic apparatus includes a sensor unit and a control unit. The sensor unit detects heat fluxes flowing outward from a component of a facility. A control unit determines whether or not an operating status of the facility indicates that the component is in a warming-up complete state where warming-up of the component is completed based on a detection result of detection by the sensor unit.
Abstract:
A heat flux sensor is installed in such a way that heat flux emanating from a biological object present at a predetermined position is detectable. It is determined whether or not a biological object is present at the predetermined position by comparing sensing results of the heat flux sensor with determination criteria. The determination criteria is preset according to heat flux that can be sensed when a biological object is present at the predetermined position. When the sensing results of the heat flux sensor satisfy the determination criteria, in other words, when the heat flux sensed by the heat flux sensor is the heat flux emanating from a biological object, it is determined that a biological object is present at the predetermined position. Consequently, it is possible to realize accurate detection of a biological object.
Abstract:
A radiant heater device has an electrode embedded in a substrate part and a plurality of heating parts. The electrodes are formed by material that has low specific resistance. An area occupied by the electrode is restricted. The heating parts are formed by material having high specific resistance in order to generate heat so that radiation is produced. The electrode and the heating part are electrically connected within the substrate part. The plurality of heating parts are arranged in parallel between a pair of electrodes. The electrodes and the heating parts are formed in a film-like shape, and the thermal capacity is reduced. As a result, a temperature of the heating parts rises promptly in response to a turning on of power. In addition, the temperature of the heating parts promptly decreases when an object comes into contact therewith.

A centrifugal ball mill has a cylindrical container in which an object to be crushed and a crushing ball are contained, a revolution mechanism that revolves the container about a revolution axis, and a rotation mechanism that rotates the container about a rotation axis. Furthermore, the centrifugal ball mill has an inclination mechanism that inclines an inner periphery face relative to the rotation axis such that a position where centrifugal force acting due to revolution about the revolution axis is maximum in the inner periphery face changes in an axial direction of the container as the container rotates about the rotation axis, and such that the crushing ball moves in a circumferential direction and the axial direction of the container to describe a trajectory of a three dimensional Lissajous curve.
Abstract:
An abnormality diagnosis apparatus includes a sensor unit configured to detect a heat flux which flows from a target apparatus toward outside, and a determining unit configured to determine an abnormality of the target apparatus. The sensor unit includes a first heat flux sensor, a second heat flux sensor, and a thermal buffer which is disposed between the first heat flux sensor and the second heat flux sensor and which has predetermined heat capacity. The first heat flux sensor outputs a first sensor signal in accordance with a heat flux which passes through the first heat flux sensor from the target apparatus side toward the thermal buffer side. The second heat flux sensor outputs a second sensor signal in accordance with a heat flux which passes through the second heat flux sensor from the thermal buffer side toward a side farther from the target apparatus. The determining unit determines whether or not there is an abnormality of the target apparatus on the basis of the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal.
