Abstract: An eyewear is adapted for fitting a user's face and for determining an eye direction of a user's eye. The eyewear is provided with at least three light sensors each configured for outputting a measured light intensity value that corresponds to ambient light originating from surroundings of the user outside the eyewear and reflected or scattered by the user's eye. A processing unit of the eyewear determines the eye direction from the measured light intensity values.

Abstract: An optical article that includes an ophthalmic lens that includes a substrate, a first layer comprising liquid crystals being disposed on at least part of the substrate, and a first and a second electrode made of a conductive material, and a voltage source electrically connected to the first and second electrodes and configured to control an orientation of the liquid crystals depending on the voltage applied. The ophthalmic lens further includes a second layer made of photoconductive material placed between the electrodes, and the optical article further includes a light projector configured to project a light pattern on the second layer of the ophthalmic lens, the second layer being locally conductive when illuminated by the light pattern, the light pattern corresponding to a pattern of refractive index modification to be induced by the liquid crystals of the first layer.

Abstract: A method for determining an eye parameter of a user of a display device is provided. The eye parameter relates to a dioptric parameter of an ophthalmic lens to be provided to the user. The method includes a display device providing step, during which a binocular display device is provided to the user, an image display step, during which an image is displayed to the user when using the display device, and a display parameter modifying step, during which at least one parameter of the display device is modified so as to modify the virtual display distance of the perceived image. The display parameter modifying step is repeated until image subjective quality of the perceived image is perceived by the user as optimal. An eye parameter determining step is provided during which an eye parameter is determined based on the parameter of the display device.

Thus the management system allows taking into account data relating to the light passing through the active lens as a feedback in order to finely control the active lens.
