One embodiment of the present invention relates to a hard coat film including a first layer in which a polymer of a polymerizable composition containing at least one polyfunctional polymerizable compound having two or more polymerizable groups in one molecule is detected as a main component and an organic solvent-soluble resin is not detected by composition analysis using a RAMAN spectroscopy; and a second layer adjacent to the first layer, in which an organic solvent-soluble resin and a polymer of a polymerizable composition containing at least one polyfunctional polymerizable compound having two or more polymerizable groups in one molecule are detected by the composition analysis, and a thickness is greater than 15 μm. Further, the present invention relates to a polarizing plate, an image display device, and a method for producing the hard coat film.
Abstract:
Provided is a polarizing film showing high dichroism comprising a substrate, and a photo alignment film and a light absorption anisotropic film laminated on the substrate in this order. The light absorption anisotropic film is obtained by fixing the alignment of a dichroic dye composition comprising at least one nematic liquid crystalline azo dichroic dye and in X-ray diffraction measurement thereof, diffraction peaks derived from periodic structure along a vertical direction to the alignment axis are present, the period indicated by at least one of the diffraction peaks is 3.0 to 15.0 Å and an intensity of the diffraction peak does not show a maximum value in the range of ±70° of the film normal line direction in a plane vertical to the alignment axis.

Stereo image print observable without polarized glasses, having: a transparent support; first laminate and second laminate disposed on a front surface and a back surface, respectively, of the transparent support, each laminate having an image layer satisfying condition (1) and protective layer having at least one layer satisfying condition (2), the image layer and the protective layer being disposed in this order from the transparent support side: (1) each image layer has a dichroic image including pixels for a left eye and pixels for a right eye arranged in a predetermined array, each pixel has at least one horizontally aligned dichroic dye, and absorption axes of the dichroic images included in the first and the second laminates are orthogonal to each other, (2) the protective layer has an in-plane retardation value (Re) of 10 nm or less for visible light; and a linearly polarizing layer satisfying the according to predefined condition.

Provided is a stereo picture print having reduced crosstalk and ghost images. The printing sheet for printing a stereo picture comprises, in sequence: a light-transmissive image receiving layer; a linearly polarizing layer; and a retardation layer, wherein the retardation layer is formed by fixing in an aligned state a composition containing a compound having refractive index anisotropy and is patterned into a first domain and a second domain which have different in-plane slow axes or have different in-plane retardations.
