Abstract: Examples include receiving, from a VoIP server, identification information of the virtual meeting and information of a plurality of client devices participating in the virtual meeting, associating each client device of the plurality of client devices to a network device in a set of network devices based on the identification information of the virtual meeting and capabilities of the set of network devices, and creating a proxy agent in each network device in the set. The proxy agent is configured to receive, from the VoIP server, VoIP streaming data of the virtual meeting. Additionally, examples include, configuring the proxy agent to replicate and transmit the VoIP streaming data to the plurality of client devices.

Abstract: Example implementations relate to a method for reconfiguring a network based on network traffic comparison. The first network supports multicast Domain Name Service (mDNS) query with multicast query-response messages. The method includes determining a client type for each client device and a first average packet count for each client type in a first network. The method includes receiving a second average packet count for each corresponding client type from a second network. The second network supports mDNS query with unicast query-response messages. A difference between the first average packet counts and the second average packet counts for corresponding client types is computed. The first network is reconfigured to respond to mDNS query with unicast query-response messages when the difference computed for at least one client type in the first network and each corresponding client type in the second network is above a predefined threshold.

Abstract: Examples of dynamically selecting tunnel endpoints are described. In an example, a request for authenticating a client device connected to an edge device via a wired link is received. The request includes information indicative of a port of the edge device at which the client device is connected and a type of the client device. Based on at least one of the port, the type, resource availability of a plurality of network devices, and location of the plurality of network devices, a network device is identified as a tunnel endpoint. A message indicative of a successful authentication of the client device is sent to the edge device. The message includes a network address of the network device identified as the tunnel endpoint.

Abstract: Dynamic tuning of mobile network device configuration based on location is described. An example of a storage medium includes instructions for switching a mobile network device in a vehicle to a maintenance mode based at least in part on detection of a first location, the first location being a maintenance hub location; enabling administrative communications and disabling user communications for the mobile network device in the maintenance mode; receiving configuration data for the mobile network device from an external server in the maintenance mode, the configuration data being based at least in part on a route for the vehicle; switching the mobile network device to a service mode based at least in part on detection of a second location that is different than the first location; and enabling service communications and disabling administrative communications for the mobile network device in the service mode.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to network redundancy using alternate network uplinks. An embodiment of a wireless access point includes one or more processors; a wireless transmitter and receiver; and a connection for a network uplink, the wireless access point to: transmit a request to multiple devices connected to the wireless access point regarding redundant network links; identify one or more devices that include redundant network links and are capable and willing to provide alternate network uplinks, including a first device including a first redundant network link; provide a network operation for one or more devices using the network uplink; upon detecting a loss of the network uplink, transmit a request to at least the first device to enable a first alternate network uplink using the first redundant network link; and transmit and receive data for the network operation through the first device for the first alternate network uplink.

Abstract: Examples of upgrading a plurality of access points (APs) are described. In an example, responsive to a firmware upgrade being initiated, the plurality of APs having an identical AP type are grouped into a plurality of subsets. A primary seed AP is identified corresponding to each of the plurality of subsets, based on a resource availability of each of the plurality of APs. The primary seed AP is to download a firmware upgrade image from a remote server. Each of the plurality of APs except the primary seed AP is categorized as a non-seed AP. The non-seed AP is to download the firmware upgrade image from the primary seed AP. A network address of the remote server is sent to the primary seed AP for downloading the firmware upgrade image.
