Abstract: In an example, a method includes receiving, at a processor, object model data representing an object that is to be generated by an additive manufacturing apparatus by fusing build material within a fabrication chamber wherein a dimensional compensation has been applied to the object model data based on an expected object placement position. The method may comprise receiving, from the additive manufacturing apparatus, an indication of an object generation placement position within a fabrication chamber where the object is to be generated and comparing, by the processor, the expected object placement position with the object generation placement position. If the expected object placement position matches the object generation placement position, the method may comprise determining, by the processor, that the dimensional compensation is valid and otherwise determining, by the processor, that the dimensional compensation is invalid.

Abstract: In one example, a representation of a volume of a part to be printed by an additive manufacturing system is generated, where the representation depicts a plurality of voxels. A plurality of slices of the representation are generated. Each slice relates to a plurality of voxels within a first plane. A first process is performed in respect of a slice of the plurality of slices, wherein in the first process at least one voxel that has a predetermined colour and is located on a predetermined surface of the part is identified and a data file is updated to include data representative of the identified at least one voxel. The first process is repeated in respect of another slice. A three-dimensional preview of the part to be printed is generated based on the data file.

The voxelised object model data may be derived from a first data set modelling a first object as 2D slices and a second data set modelling a second object as a 3D mesh. Abstract: In some examples, a system receives measurement data from measurements of first three-dimensional (3D) parts formed on a build bed of an additive manufacturing machine with different contone levels of a liquid agent, and determines, based on the measurement data, geometrical deviations of the first 3D parts from a baseline geometrical property. The system generates, based on the determined geometrical deviations, a model that correlates contone levels of the liquid agent to corresponding geometrical deviations, the model for use in an adjustment of the liquid agent based on a contone level adjustment to compensate for a geometrical deviation when building second 3D parts with the additive manufacturing machine or another additive manufacturing machine.

Abstract: An apparatus has a processor and a machine-readable storage medium storing machine-readable instructions executable by the processor. The processor is to create a 3D print job defining a spatial arrangement of objects to be printed such that each object or each object portion is arranged in a region or regions having a build material layer thickness corresponding to a user-specified build material layer thickness and such that objects or object portions having different build material layer thicknesses are arranged in different regions. Abstract: A printing device for adapting a printing parameter in relation to the height of a layer of material deposited during an additive manufacturing process is disclosed. The printing device comprises a printing component to deposit a layer of material that is to be solidified so as to form at least a portion of an object, a controller to determine the height of the layer of material at various positions across the layer and to select voxels of a data model of the object, the selected voxels correspond to the height of the layer of material at said various positions, and the controller is further to use the selected voxels as input for calculating a printing parameter.
