    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of communications, and provide a communications method and apparatus, which can solve a problem in the prior art that, in order to save power, when a mobility management entity (MME) delays delivering a paging message or a UE uses a long discontinuous reception (DRX) period, an exception may occur in a serving gateway (SGW). The method includes: acquiring, by an MME, information of a UE (S101); determining, by the MME according to the information, whether the UE satisfies a first preset condition (S102); if the UE satisfies the first preset condition, generating, by the MME, a first indication, where the first indication is used for instructing an SGW to retain first data or discard first data, and the first data is downlink data of the UE (S103); and sending, by the MME, the first indication to the SGW.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a metadata storage system and a management method for a cluster file system. The metadata of the cluster file system is stored by using a DRAM+SSD+HDD three-tier architecture, and the metadata is written sequentially into a metadata buffer in the DRAM based on write-in time.     Abstract: A method and an apparatus for protecting data carried on an Un interface between a eNB and a relay node are disclosed. Three types of radio bearers (RBs) are defined over the Un interface: signaling radio bearers (SRBs) for carrying control plane signaling data, signaling-data radio bearers (s-DRBs) for carrying control plane signaling date; and data-data radio bearers (d-DRBs) for carrying user plane data. An integrity protection algorithm and an encryption algorithm are negotiated for control plane signaling data on an SRB, control plane signaling data carried on an s-DRB, and user plane data carried on a d-DRB. With the respective integrity protection algorithm and encryption algorithm, the data over the Un interface can be protected respectively.
