摘要: A turbocharger includes a housing, and a turbine shaft supported in a center hole in the housing through rolling bearings. A tank portion for storing lubrication oil is formed in the housing, and the lubricating oil is supplied from the tank portion to the rolling bearings through wick members extending from the tank portion respectively to the rolling bearings. The wick member includes a bundle of fibers made of a plastics material, and a distal end portion thereof is separated into a fibrous condition, and this distal end portion is held in contact with the bearing. The lubricating oil is supplied to the bearing by a capillary action of the wick member.

摘要: A supercharger includes a housing and a turbine shaft supported by the center hole within the housing through rolling bearings. A cooling water jacket within the housing is provided within the main body portion of the housing. The rolling bearings are supplied with lubricant by a tank portion formed within the housing for reserving the lubricant and a wick member provided between the tank portion and the center hole. The wick member 36 includes a core portion configured by a fiber portion and gaps. The lubricant is supplied by the capillary action of the gaps. The porosity of the gap is set to be 45.5% or more and less than 80%.

摘要: A rolling bearing device includes a bearing housing supported on a casing of a turbocharger, and a pair of rolling bearings mounted within the bearing housing and rotatably supporting a turbine shaft. A middle position between the pair of rolling bearings in an axial direction and a central portion of the bearing housing in the axial direction are offset from each other in the axial direction. Each of the rolling bearings includes an inner ring, an outer ring, an intermediate ring interposed between the inner and outer rings, a row of rolling elements rollably interposed between the inner ring and the intermediate ring, and a row of rolling elements rollably interposed between the intermediate ring and the outer ring. The intermediate ring has a damper function to be very slightly displaced or very slightly deformed elastically so as to damp vibration produced during rotation of the turbine shaft.

摘要: The invention is aimed, in a rolling bearing device, to improve its durability by appropriately attenuating vibration of a rotating shaft by means of a high level of dumping performance, and thereby to reduce the load imposed on the rolling bearing and/or the overall system. A rolling bearing device of the present invention comprises a rolling bearing (13) including: an inner ring (24) and an outer ring (23) that are disposed so as to be relatively rotatable; and a plurality of rolling elements (25) disposed between the inner ring (24) and the outer ring (23), in which the rolling bearing (13) supports relative rotation between a shaft (14) and a housing (12). Besides, the rolling bearing device comprises, between the rolling bearing (13) and the housing (12), a damper member (60) formed by one or more metal wires (64) that are knitted.

摘要: There are provided an inner ring having a first raceway at an outer periphery thereof, an outer ring having a second raceway at an inner periphery thereof, an intermediate ring which is interposed between these, and has a third raceway at an inner periphery thereof and also has a fourth raceway at an outer periphery thereof, first rolling elements interposed between the first raceway and the third raceway, and second rolling elements interposed between the fourth raceway and the second raceway. The intermediate ring includes a larger-diameter ring portion, and a smaller-diameter ring portion formed on the larger-diameter ring portion through an inclined ring portion. The third raceway is formed at a boundary portion between the larger-diameter ring portion and the inclined ring portion, and the fourth raceway is formed at a boundary portion between the smaller-diameter ring portion and the inclined ring portion.
