Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and device for triggering data migration; the method includes: a host receives a migration object and a target disk, and the migration object includes a specified file or a specified directory or data accessed by a specified application in a storage system; the host resolves a block address of the migration object; and the host sends a migration instruction to a disk array controller in the SAN storage system, to instruct the disk array controller to migrate the migration object from a source disk to the target disk according to the block address of the migration object. The host of the present invention instructs the disk array controller to carry out data migration, and resolves the block address of the migration object, so the storage system can achieve the objective of migrating specified data according to a user requirement.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, an apparatus, and a system for controlling quality of service of a storage system. The method includes: identifying a target data object; acquiring a storage address of the target data object stored in a storage device by searching a file system of the host, wherein the file system contains data mapping the data object to the storage address of the target data object; and sending the storage address to the storage device to instruct the storage device to perform quality of service control on access to the target data object at the storage address. The present invention solves the problems of resource waste and lower quality of service in a QoS control manner, and can satisfy user requirements more accurately.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and an apparatus for detecting frame types. The method includes: detecting play time of each frame; and if the play time of a current frame is less than the maximum play time of received frames, determining the current frame as a bi-directional predicted frame, B-frame. In the technical solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention, the frame types are determined according to a coding sequence of various frames and comparison between data amounts of various frames received earlier and later, without decoding a payload. Therefore the impact of a reduction factor is eliminated and the frame types can be detected more accurately.
