Abstract:
Wireless sinks, such as displays, may receive wirelessly transmitted audio/video information in clone mode. In one embodiment, the same audio/video stream may be provided to a plurality of sinks daisy chained from a wireless receiver.
Abstract:
Techniques for implementing Wireless Gigabit (WiGig) Display Extension (WDE) communications as Wi-Fi Direct Services (WFDS) services are described. According to such techniques, WDE services may make use of primitives and events obtained from a WFDS application service platform (ASP). This application of WFDS to WDE may provide necessary mechanisms for layer 2 operations such as device and service discovery, P2P connection management, and session management. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
Examples are disclosed for transmitting video content. In some examples, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) values may be added to video content for video frames to be presented or displayed in a given region of a display. Results of CRC functions for consecutive video frames that use the added CRC values may be compared to determine whether the video content for the consecutive video frames is static video content. Video content for at least one of the consecutive video frames may be withheld from being transmitted if the video content for the consecutive video frames is characterized as static video content. Multiple CRC values or different CRC values may be added to further determine whether video content for the consecutive video frames or for subsequent consecutive video frames is also characterized as static video content. Other examples are described and claimed.

Abstract:
A method and system may include a source station to provide wireless multicast transmission to a plurality of destination stations according to a protocol adaptation layer multicast management protocol. The protocol adaptation layer may lie above the MAC layer. The multicast management protocol includes formation, maintenance, and termination procedures. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract:
Machine-readable media, methods, apparatus and system for managing an encoder output rate at least partially based upon wireless communication link feedback are described. In some embodiments, a device driver of the system may generate link information indicating quality of a wireless communication link between the system and another system, wherein the link information is generated at least partially based upon at least one of media access layer (MAC) information and physical layer information of the system. A system managing entity of the system may manage an output rate of an encoder of the system at least partially based upon the link information.
