Abstract: An embodiment of a semiconductor package apparatus may include technology to determine if a user is proximate to a display, determine a characteristic of the user, display a message on the display based on the characteristic of the user, and complete a transaction with the user proximate to the display. Non-limiting examples of environments for some embodiments may include any place where informational messaging is directed at people and where it may be beneficial to adjust such messaging to complete a transaction with the user. Abstract: Systems and methods for targeted electronic messaging within a brick and mortar store are disclosed. A shopper tracking system tracks the physical location and collects shopping behavior data of a shopper located within a brick and mortar store. The shopping behavior data is supplied to a real time bidding system. When a shopper moves within a predetermined distance from an electronic sign, the shopper tracking system signals the real time bidding system to conduct a contemporaneous auction and supply a message provided by a winning bidder, which is displayed on the electronic sign.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automated generation and presentation of thematic content objects to consumers in a retail environment are provided. A portable device may include a transmitter or transceiver that emits, produces or otherwise transmits a signal that includes information and/or data representative of an identifier that uniquely identifies the portable device. Upon entering an establishment thematic content delivery circuitry detects the presence of the portable device and obtains the identifier included in the signal emitted by the portable device. Using the identifier, the thematic content delivery circuitry determines a theme logically associated with the identifier. The thematic content delivery circuitry generates thematic content output that is logically associated with the theme and communicates the thematic content output to an output device. The thematic content output may include display output, audio output, tactile output, hardcopy output, or combinations thereof.
