    Abstract: The present invention is concerned with expanded beads that are olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer expanded beads containing a coloring agent, wherein an apparent density of the expanded beads is 40 to 300 g/L, and an average surface layer membrane thickness (a) is 3 to 25 μm, and a molded article thereof, and is able to provide expanded beads capable of producing an expanded beads molded article which is excellent in in-mold moldability and excellent in tensile characteristics and an expanded beads molded article using the expanded beads.

    Abstract: A modified expanded bead that includes an expanded bead which includes a specific base polymer (β) and a coating layer which includes a specific base polymer (α). The coating layer covers at least part of an outer surface of the expanded bead. The melting point Tα of the base polymer (α) and the melting point Tβ of the base polymer (β) satisfy a relationship of 0≤Tα−Tβ≤20. When the modified expanded bead is cut into two halves along a cutting plane to form two half portions and thereafter one of the two half portions is cut along planes perpendicular to the cutting plane to form ten small pieces, outermost pieces among the ten small pieces have a xylene-insoluble content (B) which is less than a xylene-insoluble content (A) in the half portion and the xylene-insoluble content (A) is 10-80% by mass.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to thermoplastic olefin elastomer expanded beads, having an average aspect ratio of 1.10 or less and an average circularity of 0.985 or more. The thermoplastic olefin elastomer expanded beads preferably have a crystal structure such that a melting peak inherent in the thermoplastic olefin elastomer (inherent peak) and one or more melting peaks on a higher temperature side than the inherent peak (high temperature peaks) appear on a DSC curve obtained when heating the expanded beads from 23° C. to 200° C. at a heating rate of 10° C./min.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide expanded beads capable of producing an expanded beads molded article that is excellent in in-mold moldability and is excellent with good balance in lightweight property, flexibility, repulsion, restorability, and tensile characteristics, and an expanded beads molded article using the expanded beads. The expanded beads molded article of the present invention is produced by subjecting the crosslinked expanded beads of the present invention, to in-mold molding. The expanded beads molded article of the present invention may have an apparent density of from 40 to 150 g/L.
