摘要: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pellet in a pellet mill, which method comprises the steps of (A) pressing a mixture for compaction by a roller through a nozzle to obtain a strand, and (B) comminuting the strand to obtain the pellet, wherein the mixture for compaction comprises (i) 87 to 97 wt. % of a polymer stabilizer mixture polymer stabilizer mixture, which comprises the polymer stabilizers (i-1) 45 to 55 wt. % of tris(2,4-ditert-butylphenyl) phosphite (CAS-No. 31570-04-4), (i-2) 45 to 55 wt. % of tetrakis-[3-(3,5-ditert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenyl)-propionyloxymethyl]methane (CAS-No. 6683-19-8), and wt. % of the polymer stabilizers (i-1) and (i-2) are based on the weight of the polymer stabilizer mixture, and (ii) 3 to 13 wt. % of a processing aid, which is a propylene-ethylene copolymer and which possesses a melting enthalpy below 20 J/g at 101.32 kPa. The pellet is useful for a dust-free handling of its polymer stabilizer mixture at a manufacturing of a stabilized polymer. Furthermore, a method for stabilizing a polymer, which is a polyolefin, a polystyrene or a mixture thereof, is disclosed, which comprises the dosing of the pellet to the polymer.

摘要: Relates to a thermoplastic polyolefin composition including from 50 wt % to 90 wt % of a polypropylene having a melt flow rate from 10 g/10 min to 200 g/10 min; from 10 wt % to 45 wt % of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a melt flow rate from 0.1 g/10 min to 10 g/10 min; from 0.1 wt % to 5 wt % of a propylene-based elastomer having a melt flow rate from 0.1 g/10 min to 10 g/10 min; wherein the melt flow rate of the propylene-based elastomer is between the melt flow rate of the polypropylene and the melt flow rate of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, and wherein an amount of the ethylene-derived units in the propylene-based elastomer is between an amount of ethylene-derived units in the polypropylene and an amount of the ethylene-derived units in the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer.

摘要: A process for producing foam particles from expanded thermoplastic elastomer involves (a) mixing a thermoplastic elastomer melt with a blowing agent in an extruder; (b) pressing the thermoplastic elastomer melt mixed with the blowing agent through a die plate into a pelletizing chamber; and (c) comminuting the thermoplastic elastomer melt pressed through the die plate into individual pellets. A liquid flows through the pelletizing chamber, and the pressure and temperature of the liquid are chosen such that the pellets are expanded to a desired degree in the liquid by the blowing agent and solidify to form foam particles. Additionally, the liquid in the pelletizing chamber contains wax which accumulates on the surface of the pellet during the cutting and expansion in the pelletizing chamber; and/or after separation from the liquid and drying of the foam particles, a wax is applied to the foam particles of expanded thermoplastic elastomer.

摘要: The invention refers to a method for producing expanded polymer pellets, which comprises the following steps: melting a polymer comprising a polyamide; adding at least one blowing agent; expanding the melt through at least one die for producing an expanded polymer; and pelletizing the expanded polymer. The invention further concerns polymer pellets produced with the method as well as their use, e.g. for the production of cushioning elements for sports apparel, such as for producing soles or parts of soles of sports shoes. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method for the manufacture of molded components, comprising loading pellets of an expanded to polymer material into a mold, and connecting the pellets by providing heat energy, wherein the expanded polymer material of the pellets or beads comprises a chain extender. The molded components may be used in broad ranges of application.
