A display panel receives the first light or a second light that is provided from an exterior to display an image based on the panel driving signal. A sensing part outputs a sensing signal based on the second light. A second driving part compares a reference voltage range with the sensing signal to output the first control signal. The reference voltage range is determined by a first reference voltage and a second reference voltage. Therefore, the light generating part is turned on/off based on the second light to decrease the power consumption of the light generating part, and an operation of the light generating part is stabilized.

    摘要: In a display apparatus, a light generating part generates a first light in response to a driving signal, and a first driving part outputs a panel driving signal. A display panel receives the first light from the light generating part and a second light externally provided, and displays an image in response to the panel driving signal. A light sensing part is disposed in the display panel so as to output a sensing signal corresponding a light amount of the second light. A second driving part compares the sensing signal with a predetermined reference value, and outputs a driving signal in accordance with the compared result. Thus, the display apparatus may reduce an electrical power consumed to drive the display apparatus.

    摘要: A thin film transistor (TFT) array panel for a Liquid Crystal Display apparatus (LCD) is provided. The TFT array panel comprises a plurality of gate lines, at least one data line intersecting the plurality of gate lines and at least one thin film transistor connected to at least one of the gate lines and the at least one data line. The at least one film transistor comprises a drain electrode. In addition, the TFT array panel further comprises at least one pixel electrode including at least one first subpixel electrode connected to the drain electrode of the thin film transistor and a second subpixel electrode capacitively coupled to the at least one first subpixel electrode. Moreover, the pixel electrode has a partitioning member for partitioning the pixel electrode into at least two partitions having portions which do not overlap the drain electrode. The at least two partitions are disposed symmetrically to a reference line equidistant from the plurality of gate lines.

    摘要: In the provided liquid crystal display apparatus, a first switching element receives a first data signal and a second switching element receives a second data signal having a polarity opposite that of the first data signal. A first pixel electrode is electrically connected to the first switching element to receive the first data signal and a second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the second switching element to receive the second data signal. The second pixel electrode faces the first pixel electrode and is electrically insulated from the first pixel electrode. A liquid crystal layer has liquid crystal molecules aligned in response to the first and second data signals applied to the first and second pixel electrodes, respectively. Thus, the liquid crystal display apparatus may prevent afterimages on a screen thereof and a flickering phenomenon.
