Abstract: A heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a refrigerant loop having a compressor, where the compressor is configured to circulate a refrigerant through the refrigerant loop, a first heat exchanger disposed along the refrigerant loop, where the first heat exchanger is configured to place the refrigerant in a first heat exchange relationship with a working fluid, and an air handling unit having a second heat exchanger, where the second heat exchanger is configured to place the working fluid in a second heat exchange relationship with an airflow, and where the air handling unit is isolated from the first heat exchanger to reduce or eliminate mixing of refrigerant with the airflow.

The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The controller is configured to determine that data from one of the plurality of sensors is unavailable and estimate the data from the one of the plurality of sensors based on data from other sensors of the plurality of sensors.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to collapsible hood for a heating and cooling system that includes a plurality of panels configured to couple to a housing of the heating and cooling system, wherein the plurality of panels is configured to be translated between a collapsed position and an open position, wherein the plurality of panels is substantially flush against the housing in the collapsed position to configure the heating and cooling system for transportation, and wherein the plurality of panels are configured to extend from the housing to protect openings in an air intake of the housing and to allow passage of air through the air intake in the open position.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an interface for a fan that includes a first bracket coupled to the fan, where the fan is configured to direct a flow of air through an opening of a duct, and the opening comprises a central axis extending therethrough, a second bracket coupled to a frame surrounding the opening of the duct, where the first bracket and the second bracket are configured to surround the opening of the duct, the second bracket is configured to support the first bracket, and the second bracket is partially radially within the first bracket relative to the central axis of the opening, and a gasket disposed between the first bracket and the second bracket, where the first bracket, the second bracket, and the gasket are configured to sealingly engage with one another without mechanical securement.

Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a compressor having a discharge port and a suction port, a first sensor configured to provide feedback corresponding to a first temperature of the working fluid exiting the compressor proximate the discharge port, a second sensor configured to provide feedback corresponding to a second temperature of the working fluid entering the compressor proximate the suction port, and an automation controller storing data indicative of an operational envelope. The operational envelope defines compressor operation coordinates corresponding to a range of suction temperatures and a range of discharge temperatures inside and outside of a target region of the operational envelope, and the automation controller is configured to control a target range of compressor speeds based on a comparison of the target region to an operation coordinate defined by the feedback from the first sensor and the feedback from the second sensor.

Abstract: An air economizer of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes an outdoor air compartment configured to receive outdoor air, and an indoor air compartment configured to receive indoor air. The air economizer also includes a partition extending between the outdoor air compartment and the indoor air compartment. The partition is configured to move between a first position and a second position such that a damper of the air economizer receives the indoor air when the partition is in the first position, and such that the damper receives the outdoor air when the partition is in the second position.
