摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing device for recording/reproducing information signals for one recording unit over a plurality of recording tracks by helically scanning a magnetic tape with rotary heads. The information signals for one recording unit are recorded on the plurality of recording tracks on the magnetic tape, and guard bands are formed simultaneously between the one recording units. The recording density is substantially improved. Erase heads overwrite the information signals on the magnetic tape and the plurality of recording tracks for one recording unit on the magnetic tape are erased en block, which prevents over-erasing unerased portions during editing.

摘要： A video tape recorder monitors the signal immediately after it has been recorded to determine whether errors have occurred in the recorded signal rerecords the video signal in the same location in the tracks where the error occurred. The location requiring rerecording can be located by recording a time code along with the video signal as it is recorded and rewinding the tape to the location where the error occurs and recording a stored video signal at that location or the video signal can be delayed and rerecorded downstream using another recording head once an error has been detected using an error detector.

摘要： In a video tape recorder, recording and reproducing heads record and reproduce a recording signal on recording tracks which are diagonally formed one after another on a tape-like recording medium. The recording heads are capable of recording again the same recording signal in the same recording region. If a recording error occurs during recording mode, information on where the recording error has occurred and a recording signal to be recorded are stored in a memory. During rerecording mode, the stored information is used to complement the recording error. If a recording error occurs, preliminary recording circuitry operates so as to complement this recording error. The above construction permits the recording signal to be recorded on the recording tracks with certainty.

摘要： A motion picture film having digital audio data recorded in at least one sound track thereof. Such digital audio data includes a plurality of bytes of data each having 8 bits of data. Each respective bit of each byte of audio data is recorded in a sound track of the film in the film running direction and each byte is arranged side-by-side in a direction normal to the film running direction to form a compression processing block. C1 parity data is added to each such compression processing block and C2 parity data is added after a predetermined interval of plural compression processing blocks. Error correction may be performed by utilizing the C1 and C2 parity data for each compression processing block and at the predetermined interval of plural compression blocks.

摘要： A digital video signal reproducing apparatus adapted for reproduction of a magnetic tape where video data of one field are recorded on a plurality of tracks by a plurality of rotary heads. Playback heads employed for such reproduction are mounted on bimorph bases or the like so that the vertical positions or heights of the playback heads are controllable and, if any of the playback heads is rendered faulty by some reason, the vertical positions thereof are controlled to select the order of the tracks from which the video data are to be reproduced, whereby required correction can be carried out with interfield concealment of the reproduced video data to consequently avert deterioration of the image quality.

摘要： An audio data readout device for a motion picture film and a clock generating device in a changeover system for a motion picture film. First and second clock generating circuits generate first and second clocks of predetermined frequencies based upon a repetition frequency of perforations detected by first and second film readers and a repetition frequency of a track pitch of audio data, and route the resulting clocks to a changeover switch. At a changeover time, a changeover controller switchingly controls the changeover switch to select the second clock. A system clock generating circuit has loop characteristics of a longer time constant than the first or second clock generating circuits and smoothly locks the second clock to generate a system clock which is outputted. A stable and accurate system clock can be generated and outputted even when film running is unstable at the changeover time.
