    摘要: An editing apparatus for editing video signals recorded on an optical disk. The editing apparatus comprises: a video signal reproducing unit for reproducing a first and a second video signal from the optical disk; a video signal merging unit for merging the first and the second video signal to generate a combined video signal for a transition from the first video signal to the second video signal in accordance with a predetermined transition period and a predetermined transition mode; and a video signal recording unit for recording the combined video signal to the optical disk. The combined video signal is recorded to the optical disk only with respect to the transition period.

    摘要: A magnetic recording and/or reproduction apparatus which is low in load to a CPU for calculating measurement data of a projection amount of a magnetic head and is small in capacity required for a non-volatile memory for storing resulting values of calculation of the CPU includes a measurement instrument for measuring a position and a projection amount of a magnetic head held on a rotary drum, a digital circuit for converting the position and the projection amount into digital data in response to a reference signal generated for each rotation of the rotary drum, a memory for storing initial values of the position and the projection amount, and a CPU for comparing the initial values stored in the memory with the rotational position and the projection amount measured by the measurement instrument. The CPU compares the projection amount measured by the measurement instrument with the projection amount stored in the memory only when the position measured by the measurement instrument and the initial value of the position stored in the memory are equal to each other.

    摘要: In a recording and reproducing apparatus according to the present invention, a drum unit incorporates a first recording/reproducing control head. A second recording/reproducing control head is disposed within a running path of a magnetic tape. A control signal synchronizing with a record starting point of recording tracks is recorded by the first or second recording/reproducing control head. The second recording/reproducing control head is controlled in accordance with a state where the control signal is recorded or reproduced by the first recording/reproducing control head, thus recording or reproducing the control signal. A deviation in tracking which is caused due to stretching/contraction of the magnetic tape can be effectively avoided. The control signals can be recorded or reproduced more surely than in the prior art.

    摘要: A magnetic sensor is disposed in an opposing relationship to a rotating magnetic head device with a magnetic head mounted thereon and placed in noncontact therewith so as to fall outside a lap angle .alpha. of a magnetic tape. The magnetic sensor is used as a part of oscillating elements of an oscillator circuit. By noting that a magnetic resistance of a magnetic circuit at a rotational position where the magnetic head faces the magnetic sensor changes according to the degree of extension of the magnetic head from the surface of a drum, and taking the change in magnetic resistance as a variation in oscillating frequency, the rate of wear of the magnetic head is measured. Since the change in magnetic resistance is taken as the variation in oscillating frequency, the degree of extension of the magnetic head, i.e., the rate of wear of the magnetic head can be measured with high accuracy. Since an apparatus for measuring the rate of wear of the magnetic head is a noncontact type, there is no risk that the magnetic head to be measured will be damaged. Owing to the above construction, the rate of wear of the magnetic head can be measured in the noncontact state and with high accuracy.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to rotate a head with high precision along a predetermined rotation locus in a rotary drum apparatus for recording and/or reproducing predetermined signals on a tape recording medium. A locus of the head on the rotary drum connected to the first rotary shaft can be adjusted to coincide with the predetermined locus by dividing the rotary shaft into two shafts, and adjusting the two shafts with an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism can be in the form of threaded screws or electrical actuators. Sensors can be provided for measuring the horizontal degree and vertical degree of the rotary shaft holding material supporting the first rotary shaft for adjusting the two shafts using electrical actuators based on the measured results.

    摘要: When a magnetic track is formed, the magnetic track is divided into a plurality of track areas in its longitudinal direction. Information signals are recorded in the divided track areas independently of each other. At a portion of the magnetic track, there is provided a reference track area in which a specific reference signal is recorded. When an information signal is recorded in either of the track areas, the reference signal is played back from the reference track area, and the information signal is recorded in the track area corresponding to the information signal using the played back reference signal as a reference for timing of the recording.With the described arrangement, when a plurality of information signals are recorded in a plurality of track areas, which are formed by dividing a track in its longitudinal direction, independently of each other, a signal recorded in a track area is prevented from adversely affecting another signal recorded in a neighboring track area.
