    摘要: A pigment-based ink composition for ink jet recording is provided which can offer prints having excellent scratch resistance and free from uneven printing. Ink jet recording is carried out using an ink composition comprising a pigment and an inorganic oxide colloid in combination. Further, the use of a recording head equipped with a nozzle plate (101), which has been treated to form a fluoropolymer-containing plating layer (104) thereon for rendering the nozzle plate (101) water-repellent, can realize printing free from the ejection of ink droplets with trajectories non-perpendicular to the print head.

    摘要: An ink jet recording method comprising the step of printing two solutions of a first solution and an ink composition is provided which, even in the case of printing on a recycled paper, can realize a good printed image, especially an image having no significant feathering and free from unevenness of printing and an image free from color bleeding. A first solution containing a polyvalent metal salt and/or a polyallylamine is used in combination with an ink composition containing an inorganic oxide colloid, and optionally an epoxy-containing compound. Specifically, the first solution is deposited onto a recording medium, and the ink composition is then deposited by ink jet printing to perform printing.

    摘要: There is provided a recording method that can realize images which possess excellent fixation on recording media, excellent rubbing/scratch resistance and good quality. In the recording method, an ink composition including at least a colorant, resin emulsion particles, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water and a reaction solution containing a reactant capable of forming coagulate upon contact with the ink composition are deposited onto a recording medium to perform printing. This recording method includes the steps of: depositing the reaction solution onto the recording medium; depositing the ink composition onto the recording medium to record an image; and washing the recording medium, on which the reaction solution and the ink composition have been deposited to perform printing, with a polar so olar solvent.

    摘要: Disclosed are a colorant which can realize an ink compositions possessing excellent lightfastness, waterfastness, color development, and rubbing/scratch resistance, and an ink composition containing the same. The ink composition comprises at least a colorant, a polymer covering the colorant and having, in its molecular chain, sites possessing ultraviolet absorbing activity and/or photostabilizing activity, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent. The ink composition according to the present invention include two preferred embodiments. In the ink composition according to the first preferred embodiment, the polymer functions as a dispersant and covers the colorant. In the ink composition according to the second preferred embodiment, the polymer is in the form of fine particles covering the colorant. Further, the colorant comprises: a dye or a pigment; and a polymer covering the colorant and having, in its molecular chain, sites possessing ultraviolet absorbing activity and/or photostabilizing activity, the dye or the pigment being in the form of fine particles.
