Abstract: A pressure vessel includes a liner, a reinforcing layer, and a protective layer. An inside of the liner forms a reserving chamber. The reinforcing layer is made of fiber reinforced plastic and is provided on an outer surface of the liner. A protective layer is provided on an outer surface of the reinforcing layer and includes fiber materials and a thermally foamed material. The thermally foamed material is interposed between the fiber materials.

Abstract: A high-pressure tank is provided capable of simply and inexpensively suppressing gas leaks under low temperature condition. The high-pressure tank 10 comprises a tank main body 11 having the opening part 13, in which high-pressure gas is filled, and the reinforcement member 12 covering the outer surface of the tank main body 11 and reinforcing the tank main body 11. The tank main body 11 is provided with the outer projecting part 15 being uncovered with the reinforcement member 12 at a position different from the opening part 13. This outer projecting part 15 is heated from the outside of the tank main body 11 by the electric heater 30 to heat the tank main body 11, and thereby suppressing degradation of the sealing properties of the seal member 22.

Abstract: There is provided a gas tank that suppresses an increase in pressure of a gas filled therein. A hydrogen tank comprises a tank main body filled with hydrogen, a thermofoamable heat-insulating layer provided on the external surface of the tank main body, a relief valve which is provided at the left end of the tank main body and which reduces the pressure in the tank main body by releasing the hydrogen in the tank main body, and a liner which extends from the relief valve toward the right end and which detects an increase in temperature. The relief valve is thermally connected to the liner, and is actuated based on heat transferred from the liner in order to release the hydrogen in the tank main body, thereby reducing the pressure in the tank main body.
