Abstract:
A topically applicable chemical peel composition for home use having from about 4% to about 13%, by weight, of alpha hydroxy acid, from about 0.1% to about 2.0%, by weight, of salicylic acid, from about 0.1% to about 2.0%, by weight, of phenylethyl resorcinol and balance essentially dermatologically acceptable liquid solvent. In addition, a chemical skin peel regime or regimen including topical application onto the skin is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A customized skin care composition. The skin care composition includes a base composition comprising one of an aqueous alcohol composition or an aqueous emulsion. The skin care composition further includes at least two booster compositions selected from the group consisting of a first grade exfoliating agent; a second grade exfoliating agent, the second grade exfoliating agent providing greater exfoliating than the first grade exfoliating agent; a first grade whitening agent; a second grade whitening agent, the second grade whitening agent providing greater whitening than the first grade whitening agent; a first grade anti-aging agent; and a second grade anti-aging agent, the second grade anti-aging agent providing greater anti-aging effects than the first grade anti-aging agent. The base composition and the at least two booster compositions have been mixed to form a composition that is stable and has efficacious concentrations of active ingredients corresponding to skin conditions of a consumer.

Abstract:
A transparent or translucent cosmetic composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion is provided. The composition includes an aqueous phase at a concentration, by weight, of about 50%-90%, based upon weight of the composition. The aqueous phase includes at least one amphiphilic compound selected from the group consisting of urea, sodium 5-oxo-2-pyrrolidinecarboxylate (sodium PCA), hydroxyethyl urea, nicotinamide, sodium citrate, ascorbic acid, or combinations thereof. The at least one amphiphilic compound is at a concentration, by weight, of about 2% to about 50%, based upon weight of the composition. The composition includes an oil phase comprising at least one water-in-oil emulsifier at a concentration, by weight, of about 1%-25%, based upon weight of the composition. The water-in-oil emulsion is a transparent or translucent composition.
Abstract:
An emulsified gel composition having an emulsified gel system having an emulsifier and a hyaluronic acid delivery component. The hyaluronic acid delivery component includes a combination of active ingredients. The combination of active ingredients includes each of a hyaluronic acid, a hyaluronidase inhibitor, and hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol. The composition is stable and has a pleasing tactile feel. A method for cosmetic treatment of keratinous tissues is also disclosed.

Abstract:
A method for providing a customized skin care product to a customer. The method includes obtaining skin information from a consumer regarding current skin conditions. A skin condition is generated in response to the skin information. An ingredient is selected corresponding to the skin condition. A compatibility profile is generated corresponding to all previously selected ingredients. The generating skin conditions, selecting the ingredient and generating the compatibility profile are repeated until a sufficient number of ingredients are selected to provide a formulation that includes a base and at least two booster compositions that, when mixed, form a skin care composition that is stable and has efficacious concentrations of active ingredients corresponding to skin conditions of a consumer. The formulation comprising the ingredients selected is generated and a cosmetic dispensing system dispenses the ingredients of the formulation.
Abstract:
A skin care composition including a cosmetically acceptable oil, from about 0.25% to about 7.0%, based upon the weight of the composition, of a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester surfactant having an hydrophile-lipophile balance value of from about 9 to about 12, and a sunscreen active. The composition is stable.
