Abstract:
A method for sending and receiving multi-carrier information in a communication system supporting a multi-carrier includes sending by a base station system information to the terminal via a broadcast message, the system information regarding multi-carriers that the base station is able to support; receiving a unicast message from the terminal, the unicast message including information related to carriers that the terminal is able to support or prefers in the multi-carrier list included in the system information; and sending multi-carrier allocation information including a primary carrier and a second carrier that the terminal will use, to the terminal via a unicast message.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for authorizing user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The present invention also relates to a method and device for authorizing authorized true user equipment if an abnormal power down report is transmitted from a fake user equipment. The real user equipment checks the abnormal power down from a base station, receives an assignment A-MAP IE, and transmits an authorized message to the base station if power is not abnormally down. Alternatively, user equipment transmits, to the base station, an abnormal power down signaling header that includes authorization parameters, such as COUNTER_TEK or a cipher-based message authentication code (CMAC).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting a bandwidth request (BR) header in a wireless communication system. User equipment transmits a standalone BR header to a base station through a first uplink (UL) resource allocated by a BR-acknowledgement (ACK) A-MAP information element (IE), receives from the base station a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-non-acknowledgement (NACK) which indicates the base station has not successfully received the standalone BR header, receives a CDMA allocation A-MAP IE from the base station, and retransmits the standalone BR header through a second UL resource allocated by the CDMA allocation A-MAP IE.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for maintaining the context of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. If power for a terminal is abnormally down, a base station receives an abnormal power down report and a request for maintaining the context of the terminal from the terminal, determines whether to maintain the context of the terminal, and transmits, to the terminal, an abnormal power down confirmation that indicates whether to maintain the context of the terminal.
Abstract:
A method for managing carriers allocated to a mobile station in a broadband wireless access system supporting multiple carriers, and an apparatus for use in the method are disclosed. A carrier management method for allowing a mobile station to perform carrier management in a broadband wireless access system supporting multiple carriers includes receiving a first message, which includes activation information indicating activation of at least one target carrier from among one or more second carriers allocated through a first carrier, from a base station, and transmitting a second message, which informs the base station of readiness or non-readiness of the at least one target carrier according to a result of the activation, to the base station. The activation information includes information indicating an activation time point, and the transmitting of the second message is performed at a specific time indicated by the activation time point information.
Abstract:
A method for operating a plurality of carriers by a user equipment in a wireless communication system supporting a primary carrier and at least one secondary carrier, the method includes transmitting, to a base station, carrier capability information; receiving, from the base station, carrier configuration information, the carrier configuration information including an index of the at least one secondary carrier configured for the user equipment, the carrier configuration information being based upon the carrier capability information of the user equipment, the primary carrier being configured as a carrier for performing an initial network entry procedure; receiving, from the base station, a control channel including information regarding multi-carrier operation through the primary carrier; and transmitting, to the base station, traffic through one of the at least one secondary carrier based on the information regarding multi-carrier operation.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting and receiving data using a superframe structure is disclosed. A method for transmitting data through a superframe including a superframe header, includes generating the superframe which includes a data region including user data and includes a dedicated control region including data region allocation information indicating resource allocation for the data region, and transmitting the superframe. The dedicated control region is arranged at at least one of locations except for a subframe of the superframe header. A user equipment which does not have to transmit and receive data decodes only data region allocation information using information of the data region indicated by a dedicated control region, thereby minimizing power loss, reducing a feedback delay, and reducing system overhead using a superframe structure.
Abstract:
A method for efficiently performing an initial access in an MS in a multi-carrier broadband wireless access system is disclosed. The method includes scanning a plurality of carriers supported by a BS, and selecting one of the scanned carriers as a first carrier and receiving an SFH of the first carrier. The SFH of the first carrier includes at least one of a field indicating load status of the first carrier and recommended network entry carrier information including information about a second carrier in good load status.

The present invention also relates to a method and device for authorizing authorized true user equipment if an abnormal power down report is transmitted from a fake user equipment. The real user equipment checks the abnormal power down from a base station, receives an assignment A-MAP 1E, and transmits an authorized message to the base station if power is not abnormally down. Alternatively, user equipment transmits, to the base station, an abnormal power down signaling header that includes authorization parameters, such as COUNTER_TEK or a cipher-based message authentication code (CMAC).
