    Abstract: A method of operating an air conditioner, including: obtaining an image acquired by a camera; determining a distance and a direction of an occupant relative to the air conditioner, based on the image; using at least one machine-learning network to classify an air-blowable space of the air conditioner into an intensive air blowing area and a non-intensive air blowing area, based on the distance and the direction of the occupant; controlling the air conditioner to operate in an intensive operation mode with respect to the intensive air blowing area; and controlling the air conditioner to operate in a non-intensive operation mode with respect to the intensive air blowing area and the non-intensive air blowing area based on completion of the intensive operation mode. A time duration of the intensive operation mode is smaller than a time duration of the non-intensive operation mode.

    Abstract: A method for controlling, by a controller, an electronic device is provided. The method may include: sensing, by a sensor, a first radiation signal incident on the sensor; generating, by the sensor, a first output signal based on the first radiation signal; recognizing a human body based on the first output signal; determining a position of the human body as being located in one of an indoor space or an outdoor space based on the first output signal; and generating a control signal for controlling the electronic device connected via a wired or wireless network based on the position of the human body. A learning model includes a deep neural network generated through machine learning and transmission of a control signal may be performed in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment using a 5G network.

    Abstract: A mobile terminal includes a display, a communication unit, a microphone, and a controller configured to perform a control operation to transmit a request for management data to an artificial Intelligence home appliance through the communication unit according to a management mode input and to display a management data screen on the display based on first sound acquired from the home appliance, and perform a control operation to transmit a request for diagnostic data to the home appliance through the communication unit according to a diagnosis mode input and to display a diagnostic data screen on the display based on second sound acquired from the home appliance. The management data screen and diagnostic data screen may be easily displayed based on the sound output from the home appliance.
