Abstract: A method and system for carrying out iterative appearance searching is disclosed. The method includes employing at least one first reference image to carry out a first instance, computer vision-driven appearance search of first video data captured across a respective first set of a plurality of first security cameras. The method also includes obtaining a second reference image, having a respective relevance confidence that satisfies a confidence threshold condition, from the portion of the first video data. The method also includes employing the second reference image for a second instance, computer vision-driven appearance search of second video data captured across a respective second set of a plurality of second security cameras.

Abstract: An antenna is provided having a primary helical coil (102) and a secondary helical coil (104) contra-wound relative to the primary helical coil. Switchable coupling between the coils allows the antenna response to switch from lower to higher frequency responses within the same Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band. A bandwidth of the same physical length antenna can be increased up to twice the bandwidth or for a fixed bandwidth, the antenna length can be shortened. For the high frequency band, when the secondary helix is disconnected from the primary helix, the primary coil operates as a interferer notch out to improve interference rejection, to reject unwanted signals from nearby radios transmitting in frequencies separated by duplex spacing, such as Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) and cellular Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication bands.

Abstract: An antenna connector for a portable communication device including, in one implementation, a housing bracket, a core mounting member, a front mounting member, and a back mounting member. The housing bracket includes an antenna barrel that is configured to engage a ferrule antenna connector. The core mounting member includes a radio-frequency (RF) switch that includes a ground barrel, a first electrical contact, and a second electrical contact. The second electrical contact is configured to disconnect from the first electrical contact when a coaxial connector engages completely with the ground barrel. The front mounting member includes a front guiding section that is configured to connect with the core mounting member. The front guiding section is further configured to align the ground barrel with the antenna barrel. The back mounting member includes a back guiding section to keep the core mounting member connected to the front guiding section.
