    Abstract: Provided is a method of treating a post-harvest plant after harvest, the method including: irradiating a harvested plant with light having a peak wavelength in a wavelength range from 270 to 290 nm and/or light having a peak wavelength in a wavelength range from 370 to 400 nm at an irradiance effective to increase an amount of at least one rare cannabinoid compound and/or at least one terpene compound in the harvested plant, wherein an irradiance of light of all wavelengths in a wavelength range from 410 to 700 nm received by the harvested plant during the irradiation is less than 20% of the irradiance of the light having a peak wavelength in the wavelength range from 270 to 290 nm and/or less than 20% of the irradiance of the light having a peak wavelength in the wavelength range from 370 to 400 nm.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a reflective sheet having a light reflecting face; a plurality of oblong flexible substrates; and a plurality of light emitting sections disposed at intervals on a face of each of the flexible substrates. The plurality of the flexible substrates comprises a first group of flexible substrates that are lined up at intervals in a first direction and a second group of flexible substrates that are lined up at intervals in a second direction such that the flexible substrates of the second group intersect the flexible substrates of the first group. The first group and the second group are layered in a thickness direction and adhered to at least one face of the reflective sheet so as to expose the plurality of light emitting sections.

    Abstract: A method of cultivating algal cells of an algae belonging to a class selected from Chlorophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Bacillariophyceae and Haptophyceae includes: irradiating the algal cells with an artificial light having a ratio of (i) photon flux density in a wavelength range of 520-630 nm to (ii) photosynthetic photon flux density, that is 65% or more; and measuring a condition of the algal cells and/or a condition of an algal cell culture provided by cultivating the algal cells. Irradiation and non-irradiation of the algal cells with the artificial light are switched, or the photon flux density in the wavelength range of 520-630 nm is changed, according to the measured condition of the algal cells and/or the measured condition of the algal cell culture.
