摘要： A method of providing a network slice service includes a mobile network operator (MNO): providing one or more service profiles to a virtual service provider (VSP) serving a user population including a plurality of user devices, each service profile comprising attributes defining characteristics of a respective network slice service offered by the MNO, the network slice service comprising any one or more of: a Virtual Network with E2E service requirements; a Virtual Network with a specified network topology; and a virtualized infrastructure. The MNO receives a request for a selected network slice service from the VSP; determines whether or not the requested service can be provided; and responsive to determining that the requested service can be provided: sending a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the network slice service to the VSP; and subsequently facilitating a network slice service instance in accordance with the SLA.

摘要： A communication service manager (CSM) apparatus for monitoring a communication network is provided. The CSM receives configuration instruction message from a higher-level device, and creates or modifies a set of tasks based on the configuration instruction message. 摘要： Methods and apparatus for determining whether to admit a virtual network using a set of communication network resources are provided. Different network resources can be owned by different infrastructure providers. Virtual network requests include a spatial profile of traffic requirements to be accommodated, and a determination is made as to whether the request can be accommodated based on available network resources. The resources include available backhaul link capacities. The resources can include computing resources for supporting service functions of the virtual network. Monitored network resource usage and traffic corresponding to the virtual network can be used to adjust future requests and accommodations. When a virtual network cannot be accommodated, a counter-offer can be made. Accommodation may incorporate monetary considerations. A feasibility computation of the admission procedure is formulated.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for supporting customer charging in 5G networks are provided. Monitoring functions are instantiated at selected network locations for tracking access to network services. The monitoring functions provide charging information for use in customer billing. A customer can enter a service level agreement with a particular customized method of charging for service usage, and the monitoring functions can be customized to provide charging information according to the service level agreement. Charging can vary based on factors such as time of day, network congestion, service traffic characteristics, and geographic location. Charging can be reduced by a customer voluntarily reducing service quality, and/or if access is through a Wi-Fi network. Customers can dynamically control traffic to control charging. Charging rates under high-demand conditions can be negotiated via bidding. User-in-the-loop charging can be performed. Charging options for functions such as VNFaaS functions, data caching, pre-fetching, and context sharing are also provided.
