Abstract:
There is provided a method including determining, at a user equipment capable of providing uplink packet switched data using at least a first high speed packet access carrier, the presence of a request for a dedicated channel carrying circuit switched data and allocating at least one code from the first high speed packet access carrier for use by the dedicated channel, such that the user equipment is capable of providing uplink packet switched data using the first high speed packet access carrier while the dedicated channel is ongoing.
Abstract:
It is provided a method, including identifying a weak cell serving a downlink of a first user device; detecting a strong cell different from the weak cell, wherein an uplink of the first user device has a lower uplink path loss towards the strong cell than towards the weak cell; preventing the weak cell from providing a first grant for the uplink, if the strong cell is detected.
Abstract:
A method includes causing first reference information associated with a first cell or carrier and second reference information associated with a second cell or carrier to be sent to a first destination in a first time interval and causing at least third reference information associated with a third cell or carrier to be sent to a second destination in a different time interval.
Abstract:
There is provided a mechanism for conducting data transmission from a network management entity of communication network control element to a terminal or UE with improved robustness. After a multiflow connection for data units via at least one network transceiver device and via at least two different paths is set up towards a terminal, selection criteria are applied so as to decide which data units are sent on which transmission path. Specifically, dependent on the applied selection criteria, data units of specific data are selected to be subjected either to bicasting each selected data unit using the at least two paths, or to dynamic flow switching so as to transmit each selected data unit using one of the at least two paths and wherein each selected data unit can be in dependently chosen to be transmitted over either of the at least two paths.
Abstract:
The application relates to the removal of one of the links in multi-flow HSPA but the proposed method is also applicable to normal HSDPA operation during handover. In particular the application aims at minimizing the negative impact of a removed radio link, i.e. drop of packets and/or delays. According to the proposed method, in which the radio link to be removed is via a first Node B NB1 (RL Removal Req), the NB1 ends the pending data transmission and informs the controlling RNC about the data which was not transmitted, in particular in the form of the lowest sequence number in its buffer. Subsequently, the RNC decides, based on this sequence number, which data packets need to be retransmitted on a second radio link via a second node B NB2, and instructs NB2 accordingly (Data Forwarding).
Abstract:
A method includes determining in a network node that a first channel is to be established between an access node and a user equipment. The first channel including one of an uplink or downlink and being provided between said access node and said user equipment. The first channel provides information for controlling a data channel which is the other of said uplink and downlink and provided between said access node and said user equipment. The data channel is such said user equipment is provided with always on connectivity. The method also includes providing information to said access node to cause said first channel to be established responsive to said determination.

Abstract:
A method includes receiving information on a requested transmission time interval length for use by a user equipment, determining if said requested transmission time interval length can be used, and if not causing a different transmission time interval length to be used by said user equipment.
