    Abstract: There are provided measures for improvements in small cell mobility with dual/multi connectivity. Such measures exemplarily comprise terminating at least one control plane signaling connection from said terminal for said at least first network access entity and second network access entity, maintaining a terminal related access stratum context commonly for radio accesses of said terminal to said at least first network access entity and second network access entity, and initiating switching of said radio access of said terminal from said first network access entity to said second network access entity for user plane data transfer with said control plane signaling connection for said second network access entity being applied unchanged, thereby providing, in a control plane for a terminal, connection management for at least a first network access entity and a second network access entity, wherein said at least first network access entity and second network access entity providing radio access for user plane data transfer for said terminal, wherein said terminal being capable of having radio access to said at least first network access entity and second network access entity for user plane data transfer.

    Abstract: There is provided a mechanism for conducting data transmission from a network management entity of communication network control element to a terminal or UE with improved robustness. After a multiflow connection for data units via at least one network transceiver device and via at least two different paths is set up towards a terminal, selection criteria are applied so as to decide which data units are sent on which transmission path. Specifically, dependent on the applied selection criteria, data units of specific data are selected to be subjected either to bicasting each selected data unit using the at least two paths, or to dynamic flow switching so as to transmit each selected data unit using one of the at least two paths and wherein each selected data unit can be independently chosen to be transmitted over either of the at least two paths.

    Abstract: The present invention addresses methods, apparatuses and computer program products for improved compressed mode operation for enhanced dedicated channel DCH in circuit switched CS voice services/transmissions. A compressed mode of a user equipment is configured during performing a circuit switched voice service over a dedicated channel according to Wideband Code-Division Multiple Access operation upon demand for network specific measurement, whereby measurement gaps are created in the data transmission. In uplink, transmission of a voice frame to be compressed is performed using a 10 ms transmission, whereas in downlink, transmission of a voice frame to be compressed is stopped after a fixed number of slots have been transmitted, wherein the fixed number of slots is set such as to ensure a measurement gap with at least 14 slots.
