Abstract:
A method for picking up body signals from the head of a user comprises a) placing first and second electrodes on first and second different positions at a first side of the user's head in direct or capacitive contact with the user's head, said first side comprising a first eye of the user, the first and second electrodes being configured to pick up first and second electric potentials, respectively, from the user's body, and b) providing an Electrooculography signal representative of a corneo-retinal potential difference of said first eye of the user in dependence of said at first and second electric potentials. The first and second positions may be (substantially) located in a plane including the first eye of the user. A portable electronic device providing an Electrooculography signal, and a hearing device utilizing an Electrooculography signal is further disclosed.
Abstract:
A method of operating a hearing instrument for processing an input sound and to provide an output stimulus according to a user's particular needs, and related system, computer readable medium and data processing system. An object is to provide an improved customization of a hearing instrument. The method includes the steps a) providing an estimate of the present cognitive load of the user; b) providing processing of an input signal originating from the input sound according to a user's particular needs; and c) adapting the processing in dependence of the estimate the present cognitive load of the user. The estimate of the present cognitive load of a user is produced by in-situ direct measures of cognitive load (e.g. based on EEG-measurements, body temperature, etc.) or by an on-line cognitive model in the hearing aid system whose parameters have been preferably adjusted to fit to the individual user.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to communication devices. Such devices may comprise input for receiving sound signal to be processed and presented to a user, and output for outputting the processed signal to a user perceivable as sound. Such processing may be performed by use of a processor for processing the sound signal in dependence of a setting or a set of setting to compensate a hearing loss profile. Further, the communication device may comprise a bio-signal acquisition and amplifier component in communication with a user interface for providing the bio-signals as input to the user interface, the user interface controlling the setting or set of setting for operation of the communication device.
Abstract:
The disclosure presents a hearing device system and a method for adjusting hearing aid configuration, where a user is wearing a hearing device, the method comprising transmitting a first background sound signal to the hearing device, transmitting a first sound pattern to the hearing device, evaluating, via a camera unit, a first pupillary information of a first eye of the user in response to a first sound scene comprising the first background sound signal and the first sound pattern. The evaluating may be repeated providing at least a second pupillary information of the first eye of the user in response to a second sound scene being different from the first sound scene, and where an averaged pupillary information is provided based on an average between the first pupillary information and at least the second pupillary information, and selecting a pupillary fitting model based on the averaged pupillary information, determining a first parameter and at least a second parameter of the pupillary fitting model based on the averaged pupillary information, classifying the averaged pupillary information into either a first category or at least a second category based on the first parameter and the at least second parameter, and wherein the hearing aid configuration is adjusted if the averaged pupillary information is in the first category, and the hearing aid configuration is not adjusted if the averaged pupillary information is in the second category.
