Abstract: A dielectric substrate for transmitting a signal with a frequency F0 includes a dielectric and a copper film pattern arranged on a first surface of the dielectric. The copper film pattern has a first dimension L in a direction parallel to a propagation direction of an electromagnetic wave that has the frequency F0 and that propagates on the first surface, and the first dimension L is given by: L = 1 ɛ r - 1 k λ 0 where εr represents a relative permittivity of the dielectric, k represents a constant in a range of 0.15 to 0.70, and λ0 represents a free space wavelength of the signal.

Abstract: An antenna device that includes a housing formed with an window surface and transmits and receives an electromagnetic wave through a cover member facing the window surface, comprises: a transmitting antenna that is provided inside the housing and transmits the electromagnetic wave to a side of the cover member; a receiving antenna that receives the electromagnetic wave; a circuit board that extends along a transmission direction of the electromagnetic wave and includes a board surface provided with the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna; and a dielectric lens covering the window surface that narrows a beam of the electromagnetic wave transmitted from the transmitting antenna to transmit the beam outside the housing and collects the electromagnetic wave from outside the housing to transmit the electromagnetic wave to the receiving antenna.

Abstract: A radar device includes: an antenna unit including antenna elements arrayed along a direction intersecting a front direction in a circuit board, transmitting an electromagnetic wave upward of a board surface of the circuit board, and receiving a reflected wave of the electromagnetic wave; a reflection unit supported above the board surface of the circuit board in a housing, reflecting the electromagnetic wave transmitted from the antenna unit to change a traveling direction of the electromagnetic wave to the front direction, and reflecting the reflected wave from the front direction to change a traveling direction of the reflected wave to a direction toward the antenna unit; and a dielectric lens disposed in an aperture of the housing to extend along a direction in which the antenna elements are arrayed, and having a semi-cylindrical shape or a parabolic-cylindrical shape projecting in the front direction.

Abstract: An antenna device, transmitting and receiving an electromagnetic wave via a cover member arranged to cover a front region of an outside of a device, includes: a circuit board; an antenna disposed in the circuit board, transmitting the electromagnetic wave toward the front region, and receiving the electromagnetic wave from the front region; a housing having an opening in a front surface for passage of the electromagnetic wave and housing the circuit board for transmission and reception of the electromagnetic wave via the opening; and a bracket retaining the housing and fixing the housing to the cover member in a front direction of the opening. The bracket has a sheet-shaped or plate-shaped adjuster that is disposed to cover a region in the front direction of the opening and closely contact with an inner surface of the cover member and adjusts pass characteristics of the electromagnetic wave in the cover member.
