摘要: Example embodiments described herein involve determining three dimensional data representative of an environment for an autonomous vehicle using radar. An example embodiment involves receiving radar reflection signals at a radar unit coupled to a vehicle and determining an azimuth angle and a distance for surfaces in the environment causing the radar reflection signals. The embodiment further involves determining an elevation angle for the surfaces causing the radar reflection signals based on phase information of the radar reflection signals and controlling the vehicle based at least in part on the azimuth angle, the distance, and the elevation angle for the surfaces causing the plurality of radar reflection signals. In some instances, the radar unit is configured to receive radar reflection signals using a staggered linear array with one or multiple radiating elements offset in the array.

The power-supply circuit includes at least one capacitor, and a capacitor that is positioned at a highest location out of all of the at least one capacitor is disposed at a rear side relative to the image-forming optical system, which prevents the capacitor from obstructing the visual field of the image-forming optical system. Thus, the image-forming optical system is able to be located close to the power-supply circuit because the monitoring apparatus is very small in height.

The spoiler extends across at least a portion of a width of the roof panel and includes a leading portion that is substantially parallel to a windshield-roof interface, an apex, wherein a height of the spoiler increases from a height of the roof panel to a height of the apex as the spoiler extends from the leading portion to the apex in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a trailing portion extending from the apex to the roof panel. A sensor volume is formed between the spoiler and the roof panel. One or more sensors are at least partially positioned within the sensor volume, wherein the one or more sensors output a signal indicative of a characteristic of an environment of the vehicle.

摘要: A loop powered process instrument comprises a control system measuring a process variable and developing a measurement signal representing the process variable. A two-wire circuit, for connection to a remote power source using a two-wire process loop, controls current on the loop in accordance with the measurement signal. A power supply with galvanic isolation is connected to the two-wire circuit and the control system to isolate the two-wire circuit from the control system. The power supply receives power from the two-wire process loop and supplies power to the control system. The power supply comprises a voltage regulator receiving loop power and developing a regulated output voltage. A current switching circuit receives the regulated output voltage and drives a primary of a transformer. A secondary of the transformer is coupled to the control system. A voltage shift control includes an isolator circuit driven by the control system for controlling voltage supplied by the voltage regulator.

The transmitting mechanism includes first and second transmitting units each including a transmitting gear that meshes with the regulating gear and that has a gear radius smaller than that of the regulating gear, and a transmitting engaging structure that meshes with a respective one of the first and second driving members. The powering unit is coupled to the rotating shaft for rotating the radar detector relative to the casing.
