摘要: The present invention discloses a technique for providing a packet recovery method, and the like, capable of starting packet recovery processing without waiting for a wasteful latency (time-out) at a mobile terminal by giving notice of information on a packet discard in a gateway device in real time, thereby enabling improvement in communication quality and communication efficiency. According to the technique, there is provided a packet recovery method for recovering a packet discarded by an intermediate device positioned on a communication path between a mobile terminal and a correspondent node of the mobile terminal among packets exchanged between the mobile terminal and correspondent node, the method including: a step of causing the intermediate device to transmit a discard notification message to the mobile terminal based on information on a communication flow for which transmission of the discard notification message indicating that the packet has been discarded is required; and a step of causing the mobile terminal to transmit the correspondent node a retransmission request message for requesting retransmission of the discarded packet based the discard notification message.

摘要: When a mobile terminal transmitting/receiving a packet using a plurality of IP address types performs a handover to an access network (single address type connection network) permitting transmission/reception of a packet using a single IP address only, an IP address not permitted is unfortunately discarded at an access network as a handover destination. Disclosed is a technique configured so that a mobile terminal (UE 1) detecting a handover to the single address type connection network establishes a temporary connection with a mobility management gateway (PGW 5) and thereafter acquires an address of an ePDG 8 located at a core network and informs the ePDG of a communication state before the handover via a PDN using the temporary connection. The ePDG informs the PGW of the communication state of the UE before the handover. Thereby, the communication state of the UE before the handover is achieved with the PGW via the ePDG and the PDN.

摘要: Disclosed is a technique for reducing the number of event report messages sent from many communication nodes (MTC devices). Upon detecting an event (smoke detection by a smoke sensor), an MTC device A 100A sends an event report message to an MTC server 150. By receiving the event report message, the network recognizes the event detection by the MTC device, and sends a reverse event report message to a plurality of MTC devices by, for example, broadcasting. The reverse event report message instructs not to send a report message in a high priority mode even in the case of detecting the same event (smoke detection) or detecting another event (flame occurrence or the like) caused by an incident (fire occurrence) that causes the former event (smoke detection). This can suppress sending of a subsequent redundant event report message.

摘要: Disclosed is a technique in which when mobile terminal having multiple communication interfaces attaches to an access network, the mobile terminal can connect to a desired PGW quickly in a short time even if a PGW different from the desired PGW is allocated. According to the technique, when a mobile terminal (UE) 1 performs bootstrapping (BS) processing on an access network (N3G access (3)), the address of another communication interface (home prefix) already connected to the desired PGW (T-PGW′5b) is notified to a connection destination PGW (I-PGW 5a). If the I-PGW does not manage the address, processing is so performed that BS processing will be started from the T-PGW managing the address to the mobile terminal. Further, if the mobile terminal is connected to an I-PGW undesired on the N3G access, a request is made for reuse of a key exchanged with the I-PGW upon switching the connection from the I-PGW to the desired T-PGW.

摘要: Disclosed is a technique to enable a communication node to acquire predetermined newer information (e.g., configuration information) held by another communication node while minimizing power consumption by communication nodes. According to the technique, when receiving a request for configuration information from a new MTC device 100, a MME 220 checks whether an existing MTC device 110 as a request target for configuration information connects or not. When the existing MTC device does not connect, the new MTC device is notified of time information (e.g., next connection time of the existing MTC device, a next connection time of a new MTC device or a next connection time zone of the new MTC device). This time information enables the new MTC device to specify a time after the MME acquires and holds the configuration information from the existing MTC device. The new MTC device reconnects based on this time information, whereby the new MTC device can acquire desired configuration information from the MME.

摘要: Disclosed is a technique for enabling a device that needs to send high priority and high bandwidth user plane traffic to send the user plane traffic even in the case where a group bandwidth has an upper limit in group-based communication. According to the technique, when an MTC device that is to send high priority and high bandwidth user plane traffic sends a service request to a network node (P-GW 213a), the network node allows use of a minimum bandwidth bearer in the case where the upper limit of the group bandwidth is exceeded. The MTC device sends a traffic sending request to an MTC server 214a via the bearer. The MTC server stops traffic of an appropriate other MTC device, to secure a bandwidth for the MTC device having the high priority and high bandwidth user plane traffic.

摘要: A technique is disclosed for preventing a mobile terminal from unnecessarily connecting to a local connection service provided by a mobile router. In a communication system, a UE 10 sends user preference information to a forwarding node 20 before the UE connects to the forwarding node, which is installed in a moving body 110 as an access point of the UE to forward information to the UE. The forwarding node determines whether information capable of being supplied to the UE is appropriate for a user of the UE based on the preference information and sends the determination result to the UE. When the UE becomes connectable to the forwarding node, the UE does not connect to the forwarding node if the information capable of being supplied is not appropriate for the user of the UE based on the determination result; else the UE connects to the forwarding node.
