摘要: Embodiments provide efficient channel access utilizing a channel assessment mode and include determining that a predetermined condition exists on a radio bandwidth (e.g., unlicensed band); and, in response to determining that the predetermined condition exists on the radio bandwidth, initiating the channel assessment mode on the mobile device, where the channel assessment mode is configured to implement a channel assessment scheme configured for efficiently accessing a channel on the radio bandwidth. Some embodiments monitor the radio bandwidth for one or more triggering events indicative of interference; and detect at least one of the one or more triggering events indicative of interference on the radio bandwidth in order to determine the predetermined condition exists. These triggering events may include determining a current/historic packet collision probability is above a threshold, detecting signals that identify another radio access system, detecting a channel utilization ratio above a threshold, and determining a current/historic data throughput.

摘要: A method includes receiving a first signal (5012). The first signal is received from a remote node. The first signal includes a first plurality of repetitions of encoded data. The method further includes transmitting an acknowledgement signal (5014) to the remote node. The acknowledgement signal is transmitted in response to said receiving of the first signal. The method further includes receiving a second signal (5015). The second signal includes a second plurality of repetitions of the encoded data and is also received from the remote node. The second signal is received after transmitting the acknowledgement signal. The method further includes combining the first plurality of repetitions of the encoded data and the second plurality of repetitions of the encoded data to yield a combined signal. The method further includes decoding (5016) the encoded data based on the combined signal.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a method for power management in a battery powered device, wherein the battery powered device comprises a one or more power saving functionalities that are either activated or deactivated on the device, the method comprising: receiving a target battery life, comparing the target battery life with a retrieved time threshold, upon determining whether the target battery life exceeds the retrieved time threshold, selectively activating at least one power saving functionalities from the one or more power saving functionalities. The method may be advantageous as it may allow a user defining a target battery life during which the battery powered device should be able to operate without running out of power.

摘要: A method includes determining, by a data use device in a network, whether the data use device follows a non-extended access barring (EAB) network access protocol for a first service and an EAB network access protocol for a second service. The method further includes determining, by the data use device, whether EAB access has been granted in the network. Upon determining that EAB access has not been granted, the data use device bars network access requests of the second service and allows network access requests of the first service. Upon determining that EAB access has been granted, the data use device allows all network access requests.
