    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display panel includes preparing a work substrate that includes a mother substrate that has a plurality of cell areas, a light emitting element layer formed in each of the cell areas, and an encapsulation layer formed on each cell area, disposing a plurality of protective films in the cell areas, respectively, that cover the light emitting element layer and the encapsulation layer, cutting the work substrate along cutting lines at an outer side of the protective films of each cell area to form a preliminary display panel, grinding side surfaces of the preliminary display panel, and removing the protective films from each ground preliminary display panel to form the display panel.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel; a bottom chassis in which the display panel is accommodated, the bottom chassis defining: a first surface adjacent to the display panel, a second surface opposing the first surface, and a hole extending from the first surface to the second surface; and an adhesive film removably attachable to the second surface of the bottom chassis, the adhesive film including a guide line forming an enclosed shape. The adhesive film attached to the second surface of the bottom chassis disposes the enclosed shape formed by the guide line of the adhesive film, overlapping the hole, and a minimum dimension of the enclosed shape formed by the guide line is greater than a dimension of the hole.

    Abstract: A curved display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a substrate comprising a flat portion and at least one curved portion, a display unit comprising a first display area on the flat portion, and a second display area on the curved portion, and a thin-film encapsulating layer sealing the display unit, and comprising at least one organic layer and at least one inorganic layer. The display device also includes a functional layer over the thin-film encapsulating layer, wherein the thin-film encapsulating layer comprises a first region overlapping the curved portion, and a second region overlapping the flat portion. The inorganic layer contacts the functional layer, and wherein the inorganic layer has a first surface roughness in the first region different from a second surface roughness in the second region.
