The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for group communication. In more detail, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for allowing a terminal to participate in group communication effectively on the move, and a communication method of a base station in a mobile communication system according to the present invention includes receiving Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) bearer information including a QoS parameter from a Multi-cell/multicast Coordination Entity (MCE); updating bearer information for a terminal using the received MBMS bearer information; making a handover decision of the terminal and transmitting a handover request message including the MBMS bearer information to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) or a second base station which does not support MBMS; transmitting a handover command message from the second base station to the terminal; and forwarding MBMS data to the second base station during a predetermined period. The group communication service reception method and apparatus of the present invention is advantageous in that a terminal participated in group communication is capable of receiving the group communication service seamlessly, even when the terminal enters an area not supporting MBMS, by switching the communication path to a Point-To-Point (PTP) communication path quickly.

Embodiments herein provide a method and system of reporting a charging information for a Device-to-Device (D2D) communication established using a wireless network. The method includes recording by a first electronic device the charging information associated with a D2D communication session. The D2D communication session is established between the first electronic device and a second electronic device. Further, the method includes determining by the first electronic device whether the charging information meets charging criteria during the D2D communication session. The charging criteria are generated by a network node in a secure environment of the first electronic device. Further, the method includes reporting the charging information to the network node in the wireless network in response to determining that the charging information meets the charging criteria.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a communication method of a remote terminal may include: transmitting, to a relay terminal, a request message comprising ProSe (proximity based service) per-packet priority associated with a TMGI (temporary mobile group identity); and receiving, from the relay terminal, a MBMS traffic transmitted based on the ProSe per-packet priority.

Methods and apparatuses are provided for allocating an internet protocol (IP) address by a packet data network gateway (PGW) in a wireless communication system. A binding update message to request the IP address of a terminal, is received from a serving gateway (SGW). The IP address of the terminal is allocated. A binding acknowledgement message including the IP address is transmitted to the SGW. A dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) discover message is received from the SGW. A DHCP offer message including the IP address assigned to the terminal, is transmitted to the SGW.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting data to user equipment through not only a current base station cell but also a neighboring base station cell via inter-eNB CA in a wireless communication system. A method for transmitting data though carrier aggregation in the wireless communication system, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: a first base station transreceiving data with a terminal through at least two PDN connections; the first base station transmitting a carrier aggregation request message to a second base station for aggregating carriers, when the first base station determines to carry out inter-eNB carrier aggregation; the first base station receiving a carrier aggregation reply message from the second base station in response to the carrier aggregation request message; the first base station performing an RRC reconfiguration process with the terminal to notify to the terminal of the determination to perform the inter-eNB carrier aggregation; and the first base station transmitting a path change request message to a mobile management entity to correct a data transreceiving path, so that data on at least one PDN connection from among the PDN connections is transreceived through the second base station.

Methods and apparatuses are provided for releasing an internet protocol (IP) address by a packet data network gateway (PGW) in a mobile communication system. The PGW allocates an IP version 4 (IPv4) address and an IP version 6 (IPv6) address to a terminal to establish a packet data network (PDN) connection between the terminal and the PGW. The PGW identifies a PDN type associated with the PDN connection if an event of releasing the IPv4 address has occurred. The PGW transmits, to a serving gateway (SGW), a binding revocation message, including information indicating release of the IPv4 address, with the PDN connection remaining, if the PDN type is IPv4 and IPv6. The PGW receives a binding revocation acknowledge message in response to the binding revocation request message, from the SGW.
