    Abstract: An image sensor includes: a light filter; and a light detector that includes a plurality of pixels disposed on a lower portion of the light filter, the light detector being configured to detect light transmitted through the light filter. The light filter includes: a color filter that includes a plurality of red filters, a plurality of green filters, and a plurality of blue filters. The light filter includes: a plurality of multi-spectral filters disposed adjacent to and coplanar with the color filter, each of the plurality of multispectral filters including a plurality of band filters configured to transmit light in different wavelength bands. Each of the plurality of band filters is configured to transmit light in a band filter wavelength range that is narrower than a wavelength range of the plurality of red filters, the plurality of green filters and the plurality of blue filters.

    Abstract: A method of deriving color response characteristics of an image acquisition device, the method including: collecting first training data sets; deriving a first-order color response characteristic of the image acquisition device by performing a matching operation of statistically matching a relationship between device coordinates and colorimetric coordinates of an image acquisition device using the first training data sets; collecting second training data sets corresponding to a spectrum of one or more edge regions of a color gamut of a color matching function representing a sensitivity of a human eye; and deriving a second-order color response characteristic of the image acquisition device by further performing the matching operation using the second training data sets.

    Abstract: Provided is an image acquisition apparatus including a first hyperspectral image sensor configured to obtain a first image, and a processor configured to process the first image obtained by the first hyperspectral image sensor, wherein the processor is further configured to extract a spectrum of each pixel of the first image obtained by the first hyperspectral image sensor, correct the spectrum by normalizing the spectrum of each pixel, distinguish an object from a background within the first image by recognizing a pattern of the spectrum of each pixel, and correct a color of the object and a color of the background by using a spatial distribution of illuminations.
