    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Disclosed is a method of operating a user equipment (UE) in communication with a telecommunication network, wherein the UE is provided with a first set of information and a second set of information, the first and second sets relating to the availability of one or more certain services for the UE defined in terms of tracking area Identities (TAIs), wherein the UE determines if there is an overlapping TAI present in the first and the second set of information and, if it is so determined, then a rule associated with whichever of the first and second set has been assigned a higher priority applies to the overlapping TAI.

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided.     Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method and device for performing secondary re-authentication for a MA-PDU session in a wireless communication system. The method for performing authentication for a multi-access packet data unit (MA-PDU) session by a session management function+packet data network (PDN) gateway control plane function (SMF+PGW-C) in a wireless communication network is provided, the method comprises performing a procedure for secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for a user equipment (UE) by selecting one of a first access type or a second access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a re-authentication request from a data network-authentication, authorization, and accounting (DN-AAA) server, retrying a procedure for the secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for the second access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a failure indication for the secondary re-authentication that the UE is not reachable in the first access type, and retrying a procedure for the secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for the first access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a failure indication of the secondary re-authentication that the UE is not reachable in the second access type.

The at least one event includes: receiving a deregistration request message from a network function (NF) entity, performing a deregistration event at the UE, or successfully completing a tracking area update procedure, a successful registration procedure, or an unsuccessful registration procedure. Further, the method includes deleting: a partially rejected NSSAI list or a partially allowed NSSAI list based on the at least one received event.
