    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Disclosed is a method of operating a user equipment (UE) in communication with a telecommunication network, wherein the UE is provided with a first set of information and a second set of information, the first and second sets relating to the availability of one or more certain services for the UE defined in terms of tracking area Identities (TAIs), wherein the UE determines if there is an overlapping TAI present in the first and the second set of information and, if it is so determined, then a rule associated with whichever of the first and second set has been assigned a higher priority applies to the overlapping TAI.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises receiving, from a base station, a protocol data unit (PDU) session modification command message for a modification of a PDU session, in case that the PDU session modification command message includes an alternative single-network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI), setting an S-NSSAI for a PDU session establishment procedure to an S-NSSAI of the PDU session and transmitting, to the base station, a message for requesting a PDU session establishment for the PDU session establishment procedure, wherein the message includes the S-NSSAI of the PDU session.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method and device for performing secondary re-authentication for a MA-PDU session in a wireless communication system. The method for performing authentication for a multi-access packet data unit (MA-PDU) session by a session management function+packet data network (PDN) gateway control plane function (SMF+PGW-C) in a wireless communication network is provided, the method comprises performing a procedure for secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for a user equipment (UE) by selecting one of a first access type or a second access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a re-authentication request from a data network-authentication, authorization, and accounting (DN-AAA) server, retrying a procedure for the secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for the second access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a failure indication for the secondary re-authentication that the UE is not reachable in the first access type, and retrying a procedure for the secondary re-authentication of the MA-PDU session for the first access type in case that the SMF+PGW-C receives a failure indication of the secondary re-authentication that the UE is not reachable in the second access type.

A method for managing Protocol Data Unit, PDU, session establishment, by a user equipment, UE, connected to a network for disaster roaming is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a Non Access Stratum, NAS, session management message from the network; determining whether the NAS session management message includes an Evolved Packet System, EPS, related Quality of Service, QoS, parameter, and whether a session related to the NAS session management message is an emergency PDU session; and deleting an associated EPS bearer context based on determining that the NAS session management message includes the EPS related QoS parameter, and the session is not the emergency PDU session.

The at least one event includes: receiving a deregistration request message from a network function (NF) entity, performing a deregistration event at the UE, or successfully completing a tracking area update procedure, a successful registration procedure, or an unsuccessful registration procedure. Further, the method includes deleting: a partially rejected NSSAI list or a partially allowed NSSAI list based on the at least one received event.
