    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for performing downlink time difference of arrival (DL-TDoA) by an ultra-wide band (UWB) device that includes selecting at least one active ranging round from a ranging block based on at least one of location information or motion information about the UWB device, transferring, to a UWB sub system, a command including information about the at least one active ranging round, and performing a DL-TDoA operation based on the information about the at least one active ranging round.

    Abstract: A method for operating an ultra-wide band (UWB) channel and a narrow band (NB) channel together are provided. The method of a second UWB device includes receiving an advertisement message providing information on a UWB channel used by the first UWB device through an NB channel, and performing at least one operation for performing UWB ranging by using the UWB channel based on the advertisement message. The UWB channel may be one of candidate UWB channels allocated for UWB communication, and the NB channel may be a sub-channel of one of the candidate UWB channels.

    Abstract: A method for operating a plurality of ultra-wide band (UWB) channels by a first electronic device is provided. The method includes receiving a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) advertisement message including information about an UWB channel, from a second electronic device, identifying whether a plurality of UWB channels are operated, based on the information about the UWB channel, and identifying a UWB channel to be used for communication with the second electronic device, based on the information about the UWB channel.     Abstract: A method for managing both an ultra-wideband (UWB) channel and a narrow band (NB) channel is provided. The method performed by a first UWB device includes receiving an advertisement response (Adv RESP) message responding to an advertisement poll (Adv Poll) message from a second UWB device through the NB channel, transmitting a start of ranging (SoR) message corresponding to the Adv RESP message to the second UWB device through the NB channel, performing, based on the SoR message, UWB ranging with the second UWB device, and transmitting a ranging packet report (RPRT) message to the second UWB device, through one of the NB channel and the UWB channel.
